  6. This was great fun. My heroes for 2024 have to be The Donald, Elon and Nigel. I agree with Amy, Kamala Harris is an evil actor. It's nice to see Harrison in a tie 🙂😂 and I love his analysis of issues. Great sales pitch at the end Rafe and I agree Trump is wonderful. Connor I love your Lotus Eaters, Philip as ever, always interesting. And of course Peter thank you so much for the NCF I admire your leadership skills and your patriotism never faulters. My disappointment of 2024 has to be Sam Harris who started well years ago and as an arch critic of Islam, and has descended into a Trump hating, west coast, micro dose LSD popping hippy. Although I was convinced at an early age that Abrahamic religions were nonsense in their core metaphysical claims and the fables through which they narrate the story of mankind, I have always accepted that Christianity, in particular, was central to the "soul" of the West. And I have accepted that Christianity has had great utility in giving people the confidence to "get on with life." But I've had only a few, vague ideas about ~how~ , exactly, it managed this shaping of the Western mind, including the secular, Western mind. I found this episode of "The West" to be like drinking from a firehose on that topic. It was, to me, intensely stimulating and intellectually exciting. Am I certain that everything said here was spot-on? No, but I have no particular criticisms on first hearing; I just have so very much to think about and consider. (It would sure be swell to have a transcript.) NCF is a treasure!

  26. Thank you Peter. I would dispute your use of the term "self abasement" in this context. To those who embark on this line of attack, this is not an attack upon "themselves", but upon a culture and a history to which they have been indoctrinated through our education system not to recognise as their own. To them, the likes of us, are an alien and hostile culture. This is like the young "Remainers" during the Brexit Referendum who proudly proclaimed themselves as, not Britons but Europeans. This has been going on unopposed for a very long time and I think the process was accelerated under Blair.

  47. I’ve watched every single video up to now and every week it’s always a pleasure to see who Peter Whittle’s guest will be. This episode is on a totally different level. Not being actively interested in politics until the EU referendum I hadn’t even heard of Claire Fox before she was announced as a candidate for The Brexit Party. I am so glad I have discovered this incredible woman. I’ve spent the last few days catching up on previous interviews going back years and my goodness she really is a whirlwind for change. I so admire her and want to thank Peter Whittle once again for such an amazing candid and honest interview. Claire Fox you are any amazing woman and thankyou for giving back a voice to many people like myself who have felt totally ignored and talked down to from the so called political elite. Claire Fox you are a really bright star. Thanks for being there for us all.
