This is a paid event, which means it is not a public space. They used violence and damaged the property of the event organizer. This means this protest does not fall under the right to protest.   9. I don't know about others, but I like stuff like this being in games. Why? Because it brings variety. In the case where we help the victims I also enjoy it, because I enjoy hero scenarios if done well. If you're not able to disassociate games from reality, you need professional help.

  20. ​ @Zalgo-hr6qc  The problem with mods is that some mods may or may not break other mods depending on the order they are loaded in. A mod being dependent on another mod is a completely different thing. It's not so much a problem if you're running around with maybe 20 mods or so, but once you've added a few, and some mods do require a fair amount of mods just to get itself going, things just become more annoying. Most people honestly just want to play the game and experience the mods.

  22. ​ @shaunkellison1761  What you're saying is basically that the value depends on what your goal is, which is entirely true. It's why I wish they would make it less strict and focus on the essentials, writing, reading, speaking and basic calculation. Everything after that should be more or less up to the student. Of course, not all schools would have the finances to support a wide variety of lectures, but in which case the students could still choose to a greater extent what they want to focus on. There are far too many social studies that have given me damn near no value once I stepped out the doors of school, yet it was like 50% if not more of what we did at school.

  23.  @yurichtube1162  According to him, I suppose it's a waste of space to have people who aren't dedicated study in the field. I don't know if it's true, but I agree. Not limited to women of course, but in general. I'd rather see that people who keep at it are the ones who study. However, it's also hard to say who will and who won't keep working within the field before they quit.

  25.  @PentaRaus  I wouldn't claim gay people are costing them any medals, but that's besides the point. Acting that way is something that sounds good until it actually harms people. Allowing trans people into women's sports is harmful and trans men would stand no chance against men in men's sports. If anything they should have their own league, but they aren't nearly enough for that to make sense. I also doubt there'd be much money in it. Women's sports are already struggling with getting views, there's no way things would go better for trans people.

  29. That stuff has always been a problem, regardless of company and industry. There's simply no avoiding personal bias, which is the entire reason why GamerGate even became a thing. Journalists not disclosing their personal relationships with those they wrote articles about. I believe that's important, regardless of what their relationship is and is why I thought the cause behind GamerGate was good. Then assholes came along and just used it to harrass women, but I guess assholes will be assholes.

They need to learn hard lessons in a safe way before they ruin their lives once they are out of the tutorial. After that, people just tend to do well in general.

  50. I actually misunderstood this in the full video; loading the entire storage on the server makes sense, reduced latency, batch updates and less risk of database locking... but loading it for all players on the client side is just crazy talk.
