I went on holiday to Greece about 15 years ago. Didn't even have proper plumbing in our hotel. The country that invented logic. No plumbing. Highly illogical.
17
Notice you compared 1 side DOING things with the other side SAYING things? What is it with this false equivalency nonsense?
16
He lies all the time. He said just in the last few days that the US was the most highly taxed country. Complete and utter nonsense.
16
They said it was for behaviour rather than speech, which was a limitation most people were willing to work with.
16
Where did he say Trump supporters would call him out if he lies? That's pretty clearly not the case. But Trump filling his cabinet with rich people and bankers isn't actually against anything Trump said. He said he was against lobbyists buying politicians. He didn't say he was against their skill in politics. Those are 2 different positions. They might be great at the job. As long as they're not buying policies from him, he's not being a hypocrite.
15
Thunderfoot evolves into Sargon at level 45.
15
I love Glenn Beck. He's like half way between Aristotle and Mr Bean.
15
+prateek sriv Most of them are scared to get a target painted on them.
15
Louis Gallucci Nope. The commenter was asking for criticism of the Right. Ben spent most of the election criticising Trump. His own politics doesn't change that.
14
Sarcasm
14
He also seems to want Trump to win. Is your net a bit too wide perhaps?
14
They're not winning Blaire. They're massively outnumbered in the general population. Most extreme ideologies always are. They just get a period of control over the conversation before the use of language starts to shift against them and the dam bursts. I think "SJW" becoming a term was an important moment. It was the point at which a large number of people all came together to agree there's a problem here we need to fix. Even just having that happen is an important moment. Muslims don't seem to have really managed that yet with their extremists.
13
Is he? How so? He seems fairly normal in most interviews I've seen.
13
I love that loads of peole attacked Fry for the things he said in this interview yet almost no downvotes. The fuckers didn't even watch it, did they? Just read about it second hand and reacted.
13
Milo you need to do another ridiculous prank to piss off progressives. Your twitter numbers haven't been rising as fast these last few weeks.
13
I know right. We still haven't cured cancer. No-one should be able to talk about anything else until that's done!
12
A political movement or party gets defined by the people who have the most influence. The sensible people on the Left can't really be expected to be counted that much when all of the democratic candidates are in bed with the extremes and push their lies (e.g wage gap and police racism). Break that influence and then the Left will start getting treated better by everyone else.
12
There's this really noticeable difference in outcome between people who commit suicide and those who just attempt it. Can anyone guess what it is?
12
Lol "my nigga" being the traditional greeting in India.
12
Yes
12
Like half of his last 10 guests have been liberal or leftists. He's doing a great job getting people of all views. He just needs some more progressives or socialists. That's all.

+Mablak If "simply recommending" is all that had happened, that'd be fine. That's not what we've seen. Read the IGN interview when the guy was pressuring Nintendo into having a female Link. You can see very clearly what happened. First he asked the question. That part is ok. Then the Nintendo guy said no, they wouldn't have a female link. He didn't accept the answer and then said "I really feel you owe the female fans a better answer than that" or something along those lines. That's not suggesting. It's pressuring and trying to guilt them into a different answer. Then look at the furore that happened over the joke in pillars of eternity. You can go and read the original tweet from the girl who started the hate campaign. She didn't just recommend they reconsider it. She literally said "spread this around, we need to make a lot of noise". That isn't recommending. Once again, it's pressuring. Then read the Witcher 3 article on Polygon. There's no recommendations to be seen. There's just idiotic slander. None of these count as recommendations. They're all an attempt to emotionally overpower the developers into adjusting their games. Gamergate is largely an attempt to negate that pressure. Completely separate to that is the problem that gaming media doesn't represent the audience very well on political issues. So even if they're just recommending things politely, they need to take into account the differences of opinion in the audience that's paying their salaries, otherwise they'll face inevitable discontent. So for example on the issue of Anita Sarkeesian, not a SINGLE negative article was found on a main gaming site, despite the audience being incredibly critical. Whether it's intentional or not, that's an attempt to set the rules.
11
So why does God suck at communicating with such a large number of people?
11
He would have no success in proposing such things if the rest of the country wasn't already doing it anyway. The UK gave up on liberty decades ago.
11
They don't seem to realise that. They think they can just successfully make the majority of the population follow the commands. No, they're just succeeding so far because it hasn't made a material difference in most people's lives. Once it reaches a certain point, there'll be a very large pushback, and it may turn into violence. At which point, of course, they'll lose almost instantly.
11
I'm gonna have to watch Kinda Funny a bit more often I guess. Gotta support any non-progressives in the gaming media. They're like bloody locusts in the industry.
11
Hard work more than genius really.
11
This guy has a great balance between analytic and creative thinking. I hope you asked him to get Peter to come on too Dave! I know he doesn't do that many interviews but I think he'd appreciate you.
11
He's definitely right about the weird hatred of capitalism. The effect of capitalism on the world has been massively positive. It's just been incredibly uneven and unstable.
11
I just listen to what Trump tweets and assume it's always 100% accurate.
10
The entire left SHOULD be thrown under the bus until it deals with its extremists. You're in the exact same position as moderate muslims in the middle east. Of course not everyone is an extremist, but the extremists are running the fucking show. So you need to get judged by their actions until you boot them out.
10
The video is about free speech. What has Trump lying or attacking the media got to do with that?
10
What potentially devastating thing is happening exactly?
10
I agree there're non-physical aspects of the human mind. The problem is they're all dependent on a particular physical system to be instantiated. Exactly the same as a computer. A computer algorithm isn't a physical thing. It's a set of linked concepts that could be copied between substrates that have no physical aspects in common. But you still need something to actually do that copying, or an explanation for how it could happen.
10
I don't think they do it on purpose. They just expend about 0.001 KJ of energy trying to actually understand other people's views.
10
That'd be great. Try and get him to smile.
10
+Damian Louden Vaginas are better lubricated than arses.
9
Lol those fucking rape regulations.
9
So you don't falsely conclude that people are enemies when they're really not?
9
I like Phil but he hedges so much that he could own a gardening store.
9
The Super Nintendo was a perfect system.
9
Ner, I don't think so. Plenty of people manage to debate without trying to imply their opponents are evil. That's all I'm talking about. The attacking of people's character instead of just the content of their arguments. Cenk did it about 10 times in their debate.
9
Has been growing pretty fast over the last year. Give it 5 years it'll be a million subscriber channel, I have no doubt.
9
Or it's just easy to get attention in general as an attractive woman?
9
Douglas pulls some great faces while he's listening.
8
To be fair, Marxist is a term many use to self-describe.
8
He doesn't speak exclusively to people with right-wing views. You people seem to just ignore reality. His guest list is about 50/50.
8
I think I started following you at about 50K! Looking forward to seeing the 1 million milestone in a year or 2.
7
They clearly do. They're the ones who've engineered this whole "whenever anyone says 'racist', just submit and do whatever they want" culture.
7
Where are the threats on the Right?
