  2. @Thomas Mckenzy To put it lightly, it is a work in progress. It is still a long slog for russia to meet all of their goals with the Ukraine offensive. While there are some difficult days for the russian army, we can be disappointed about the sufferings and deaths in the Ukraine army.. Unfortunately this will not stop soon.

  3. One theory is that Russians thought it was possible that if they showed up with a show of force, that their demands of implementing the minsk agreements would be ratified.... The theory goes that by showing up with a massive show of force, Ukraine would agree early to terms. ... In american football it was like hoping the apposing team would capitulate because of a successful first kick off touchdown return... They seemed to have a plan B 'limited millenary engagement' or 'special military operation' that they implemented, didn't get them what they wanted as well... Now they are moving on to plan C witch is a partial mobilization, consolidating command and destruction of ukraine's electrical infrastructure which is dual [civilian and military] use. It is Ukraine's innocent military personnel who are paying the highest price. Hopefully it will all end soon.

The truth is that Zelinski is in jeopardy of loosing his life in a political rivalry going on in ukraine or being assassinated by western operatives... The list of western operatives that have been assassinated include Kadaifi and Sandam Husain. The regime in Ukraine was installed by a western inspired bloody coup in 2014. Yeltsin also became PM of russia with the US's blessing and was replaced by putin with the tacit understanding that russia would continue pro-western policies...

If a nation has the force and can get away with it, it becomes law.... Might makes right and legal... ... I like to argue semantics.... I hate it when leftists world wide use 'socialism' as a stand in for good stuff and contrast it with 'capitalism'.... I feel like the west is descending into 19'th century style feudalism and dumping capitalists precepts.... The west is deindustrializing where as many places in the east are industrializing... So, how can you call people who destroy capital capitalists and call those who create capital 'socialists or communists' ? .... This is perhaps the argumenta I feel most strongly about right about now. Michael Hudson argues the same way then he reverts back to a more neo classical economic nomenclature...

Not based on a capitalist idea of personal property but on what the very few want right now. This has been going on for hundreds of years. About what is 'legal'.... Murder is particularly legal and encouraged under some legal paradigms.... Arguing what is legal seems to me not only abstract but impertinent and confusing. I can imagine that russia makes the argument that what they are doing is legal based on what was deemed to be legal before... It is reasonable to think they would...

  38.  @tomdziczek9676  A lot of these kinds of queries can be answered by Prof. Michael Hudson who wrote a book that was an instruction manual at the end of the gold standard [brenton woods] that was used as an instruction manual for people who wrote books like 'confessions of an economic hitman... The petro dollar standard replaced the gold standard then.... Getting answers to these queries is a frustrating experience, like watching a horror flick that is happening in real time.... I think the inevitable zombie apocalypses will emerge from a peat bog in Ireland.

The war in Ukraine is the most productive in getting rid of military hardware... It will take a few years for the contractors to ramp up production, so they have more than they can do right now. Russia is not competing in the world cup... The US has created a racial bogy man of the russians in record time.... If they wanted to, jews would be bogy men over knight... The war in Ukraine is about the sanctions...... The sanctions are probably worse for europe than Obummer's response to the sub-prime mortgage crisis. If russia can get past the neoliberal policies it suffered in the 90's it is possible that europe, realizing they are in deep shit, can get over this crisis as well.... I am not sure that europe can do it as quickly because they are a divided people, they don't have the outrageous amounts of natural resources russia has and they have huge populations and population centers. They are going to be in a position like the developing world...

The primary US policy was to separate europe from eastern vendors [Chinese IT and Russian energy] and keep europe in the dollar zone... Because of the mixed signals that the US gives off, I am confused about what the goals were in the US playbook... I am a US citizen as well. My cursory understanding is that production that can't function because of lack of energy will often relocate to the US as well.

Objections about how the chinese rigged the system were published during the reagan admiration... Yes the rigging is done in the west for speculating on fragile asset values in a system that is leftover from the 18''th century but the rigging in china is for industrial production, what used to be called capitalism.

If they stave off the worst of the worst this winter, the next will tear europe limb from limb.... Again most will survive but will probably be thrown back into the 19'th century when their industries are no longer in existance. Many of the energy intensive industries will be relocating to my nation, the USA. It is probable that there will be another mini industrialization in the US with the weapons industries to replace the weapons that were burnt up in the war in Ukraine. It is probable that I will profit from these dynamics personally because I am a mechanical designer from chicago.
