As a nipper in the seventies I watched them drop into our local park during a show. After they landed I ran up to one and cheekily asked for his expended smoke canister as a souvenir. Can’t remember if he gave it to me or not though!

By way of balance, can we have ‘Russian Warriors’ on the Welsh border please?
8
A bit too late to get it in the shops for Christmas methinks.
8
I remember RAF Akrotiri as being the place we used to broadcast the infamous ‘Lincolnshire Poacher’ Numbers Station to the Middle East from back in the day. I can still hear the lady’s very clipped RP tones: ‘Nine, five, eight’ etc.
8
Nice to see the old DPM on the Noddy suit.
8
They’re in the middle-part of Europe. (Refer to an atlas for their exact location).
8
0:56 - ‘If we move towards the rear of the aircraft’ - Music will suddenly play as I walk behind the wing.
8
Good job Biggles, keep it up.
8
“Achtung Spitfire!”
8
£19.99 on special offer at Halfords.
7
F-14s in the first Top Gun film, F/A-18s in the second. The F-15 is an Air Force, not Navy plane.
7
They did.
7
Didn’t know there was any Jaguars left, let alone a two-seater!
7
@winstonchurchill586 - Yeah I forgot the British army runs on tea. Off for a brew now, cheers! ☕️ P.S. might even have a choccy digestive.
7
No that replaced the Sea King, being of a similar size. The Puma is smaller, so this may be a direct replacement.
7
In intelligence circles, RAF Akrotiri is famous as the place where the infamous ‘Lincolnshire Poacher’ numbers station was broadcast from to the Middle East.
7
Puma still in service? Blimey! Flew in them in NI during the 70s (along with Wessexes).
7
That’s when you pack up and go home for tea.🫖
7
There’s one on display at IWM Duxford. An impressive machine up close!
7
‘It came with all the fanfare you’d expect’ - So do I!
7
Comes complete with it’s own pedestal-mounted Viewmaster at 1:30 I see. Hope they have a nice selection of slides for it.
7
I was going to say the same thing. So used to ships’ captains speaking in Oxbridge tones!

🇬🇧👍🇳🇵

@davewebster5120 - Thank you very much for your kind comments. A stark contrast to the commenter who accused me of lying. My father passed away in 1998 and yes, I am VERY proud of him and the service he gave. 🇬🇧🤝🇺🇸
6
@Juju-pq1wm - And their army is equipped with those handy little red knives!
6
So The gulf war didn’t count then?
6
HyperVoxel - My thoughts exactly!

6
Just after tea-time.
6
@derek6579 - I think so.
6
Love the gentle ting-a-ling sound of the main gun turret!
6
What? It’s to help Ukraine deal with Russian drone attacks.
6
Had to watch on mute as that so-called ‘music’ is SO annoying.
6
Ask an Argie!
6
Basically yes.
5
@smacksman1 - Of course! I could quite confidently do the pointing bit, but am linguistically challenged when it comes to those languages.
5
You mean no more Bedford 4-tonners? Ah memories!
5
Saloon, estate, coupe and cabriolet.
5
30 years ago this would have been the stuff of science fiction. Remember the scene in BTT2 when news drones appeared after Griff and his gang crashed their hover boards into the front of Courthouse Mall?
5
A slightly worrying ‘BEEEEEEEP!’ at 00:14, plus the flight engineer doesn’t look too confident at 00:40 - “Er, which button do I press?”
5
I remember it’s original appearance as the Arwen 37.
5
Looks great but can they get it in the shops for Christmas?
5
I didn’t think Saab still existed. Thought they had gone bust. Looks cool though. Just the thing for my next Norfolk Broads holiday!
5
halburd1 - The Muslim population of the U.K currently stands at 2%. Or to put it in simple terms: Take 100 random U.K people, and 98 of them will NOT be Muslim.
5
Er not quite: The BMP-1 entered service in 1966 following protracted development whereas the Scorpion entered service in 1973.
5
Mark Cooke - I’ve now woken up, gone to primary school, and learnt to spell the word They’re. (Sorry couldn’t resist).
5
Looks great. Can they get it in the shops for Christmas?
5
Because the Nimrod was around long before Airbus existed.
5
It’s only a light gun (105mm), most light guns don’t use them. Also it’s almost 50 years old and autoloaders for towed artillery weren’t around then.
5
Steve Freeland - We’ve had them since the 80’s. We used them in both Gulf wars.
