That's what drives me nuts about the Trump outrage. Is he supposed to go off virtue signalling about what a prick KJU is over there in North Korea, then go to meet him? That's not how negotiations are done. How that's not obvious is beyond me.
13
Good on you. Both sides should wish that EVERYBODY is as good as they can be. Wishing the other side fails is really unproductive.

I said the same thing on Facebook (that I have a hard time telling Antifa and White Nationalists apart other than the Antifa ones would be the first to throw a punch) and got called a Nazi bootlicker and was told violence was okay to use on me. I just don't get it.
7
And then the top general told people in secret that if he decided it was warranted, he would overrule the POTUS. The military overruling the POTUS? He better get court martialed. That's WAY more egregious than what those people did on Jan 6th. They weren't literally there to stop the president. They knew damn well that wasn't going to happen. They are the gun nuts and they didn't arm themselves. Anybody saying that was a coup attempt is disconnected from reality on a level that is mind blowing to me. Does anybody thinking that it was a coup truly believe that those people prepared for an actual coup? The military obsessed gun nuts tried to take over the government like THAT? C'mon.

I would love to see the dislike ratio for any video he is on.
6
The crazy thing is than CNN has the video of that on their site! I think Anderson Cooper should have SOME sort of integrity. This is 100% fake news. Both sides do it and it's gross. I don't get why everything has to be spinned and slanted, but this one is as bad of a fake news thing as it gets.
4
"How could any mother be proud of you as a son" Her son built a pretty impressive resume, so there's that.
4
People were fine with it because that's the way society viewed it. Go watch old Louis CK bits. He directly uses it and he directed Pootie Tang. Nobody cared because again it was in context. Criticizing people for doing stuff that was totally fine when they did it is horrible. The planet of the apes one is a bit rough because I can't think of the contacts where it would've made sense, but still, there is clear evidence Joe isn't a racist so this is absolutely a witchhunt so those people can fuck right off.

It's like that scene when Hightower in Police Academy tells the dog to sit and all the trainees sit too
4
It was not a legal answer to a moral question. That would be the case if she made a logical argument. Saying that advocating for genocide of a specific group of people, some of whom happened to be in the vicinity, was not harassment was insane. Substitute the word black, or gay, or any other number of groups and there's zero chance it would be treated the same. It was faulty logic, and morality. End of story.

John says this immediately after seeing a clip of Vivek clearly articulating that he needs to learn more information before coming to a conclusion. That's the literal antithesis of that quote. Gaslighting is one thing when you know the secret truth behind the scenes, but it's entirely another when you try to contradict video that immediately proceeded to comment. It hurts my heart that people don't care about objective reality.
3
It's unreal. Every CNN video I click on has that ratio. Maybe it's because I only click on them for rage-porn, but still.
3
You are right, but for the wrong reasons. Literally every single time people like her have gotten into power it's escalated and ended tragically. People have history to back their fear up.
2
This was going after her? You did not watch the same video I did. This was a really well done video, which blew me away because it's CNN. If you saw this as a hit job then you are so far down the ideological rabbit hole you may not make it out.
2
Because she gets eyeballs and support. No different than why websites use clickbait. You didn't think politicians are truly in it solely for the good of the people, did you?
2
The left seem to have no problem if you vote for race or gender, just so long as the race isn't white and the gender isn't male. It's the strangest hypocrisy. How about vote for the most competent? Why bring skin and genitals into this?
2
Skip Frake I think it's immoral to vote for the lesser of evils. I'll vote when somebody actually deserves my vote. I don't want to reward idiocy. In the last election in America, the opponent was absolutely not one iota better though. At all.
2
It's always somebody else's fault.
2
By the time Tulsi is in her mid 40's she should be ripe for leadership (unless the system corrupts her first).
2
He's balanced? How many positive things has he said about Trump?
2
Yeah that one was a little cringe. That's not one you can use in context because the theatre was not in a setting that looked like the movie at all.
2
But now Biden is in control so it's a go. It's like how a sports team will fire a GM, then the next year win it all with essentially the same team the last guy put together, then everyone talks about how the new GM is a "winner" and a great GM.
2
I have a feeling Trump's legacy is going to be much kinder than people currently think.
2
Yikes. That's like the opening act band at a concert saying the main act only brought them along to boost their profile.
2
1:25 THAT is why you lost. Identity politics. America had just elected a 1/2 black man, twice. Obama went 2 for 2. Where were the racists then? Also, it's a stupid comment because Trump defeated a white person. How that guy and others like him can be highly paid to be on national tv with such base level arguments and excuses is beyond me. What a simpleton.
2
How many times was she given a chance to reconsider? It's not like she can claim she just misspoke, that's for sure.
2
@doobitron Those two are really different. Bernie is in la-la land. He has pipe dreams that are impossible and illogical. Tulsi is grounded in reality.
2
Dead white folks.
1
Negotiate? America ARMED the terrorists, going back decades. Why people think Trump is doing anything new is beyond me.
1
Amen. Zero republicans would listen this and not be 100% on board.
1
And which approach actually worked historically?
1
@spoopsfordays4311 It's always the people who have more than you do who are the REAL problem.
1
Debates are garbage and people who vote based on them are idiots. Listen to long form of each of them, and check out their platform on their website.
1
She was sacked. Zero chance this was totally voluntary. @SuperMrBlaze
1
Bernie did not answer the question. He was asked about getting rid of billionaires via taxation and whether that was his plan. It was a yes or no question. He answered by saying the top 3 guys have way too much money, and that billionaires should be taxed "fairly". That's not an answer! He danced around it like a virtue signalling twat. It's a yes or no question. God I hate politicians so much. Scumbags.
1
Look at presidential candidates. If you think the best and brightest get ahead, I've got a bride to sell you.
1
I dunno. They got him by the toe. Are his balls next? I'm totally fine with him apologizing if that's what's in his heart. Always speak your truth. But the fact that he didn't go after the people who absolutely are trying to demonize him, and that they're doing it on purpose as opposed to actually trying to right any wrongs, is what disappoints me.
1
Napoleon I Bonaparte it’s everybody else, eh? How convenient for you that your computer and western lifestyle doesn’t seem to impact the world simply because you are not rich.
1
If JR is fishing for subs, he would go after bigger fish. His number dwarf CNN's. He is the top of the mountain. I can't imagine a single guest that could possibly raise his profile any higher since he's bigger than all of them, as far as reach goes.
1
Wow, you are the worst type of person and I mean that very literally. Being absolutely unwilling to accept an apology from anybody ever is not only going to lead to extreme division and hatred, but it also makes you a hypocrite because I guarantee you've said things other people have found distasteful or offensive, probably including yourself because people grow and change as they get older. The only way I will have any respect for that opinion whatsoever is if you hold yourself to the same standard and do not get irritated when somebody is mad about something you said decades ago. You better have come out of the womb with perfect moral views about every single thing at all times. If you eventually figure out that that's not possibly a good way to live, then it's all good because that's part of growing as a human being but if in your heart of hearts you're literally unforgiving to everyone about everything, then I actually feel kind of bad for you because you would have the most miserable life imaginable because not a single person alive can possibly live up to that, including yourself so your self-hatred must be through the roof.
1
Forget racial slur. You can get cancelled for damn near anything now. But only if you have an ideology they don't like. The Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has several photos of him in full out black face available with a quick Google search. Why wasn't he completely canceled? He did the usual canned apology and all was forgiven. If you think they're gonna do the same with Joe Rogan you haven't been paying attention.
1
Non apology? He very directly says he feels awful about it. That's the epitome of an apology. He didn't say "I know you aren't supposed to use that word anymore so I regret it", he said he truly feels bad for really reals. If that's not good enough for you then what would be? Should he cut off a finger in tribute?
1
Every even keeled voice here keeps getting yelled at. It's so sad.
1
@barryboggs1241 Or you could watch the video where the very specifically condemns the extremes of both sides. Have some integrity.
1
Isn't it sad that you say all that, and every one of the other responses has been hatred, yet I guarantee they think they are the tolerant ones.
1
You guys are really going after him. Maybe it's because you recognize him as the threat to you he actually is. He rips you guys all the time and rightly so. He also MURDERS your ratings. Instead of attacking him, you should figure out why he has those ratings.
1
@davidthomas9960 Yeah I'm not buying it either, and I'm incredibly skeptical of the whole vaccine process and the way Covid has been dealt with. Maybe this person has an extremely narrow group of friends. If you only talk to 6 people total, and none got Covid and one ended up in the e-ward because they had a symptom like nausea that they tell you might happen, then maybe they are not technically lying.
1
It's perfectly okay to directly refer to that word in absolutely no uncertain terms. It's never meaning anything but that word specifically. We all know that. Yet even uttering it once can get you cancelled. It's a fucking clown world. It's not like how "fricken" can actually mean "fricken" to the person who said it. It doesn't always meant as a substitute for "fucking". Some people truly use those in two different ways to represent 2 different things. But not the word being talked about here. The fact that it's 100% of the time eating the same thing means it's absolutely insane that you can't say it. Even more ridiculous is that you can't see it if you are specific skin colors. If you see a word written in text, and you have to investigate the colour of the person who wrote it before you can decide whether or not you are outraged is ridiculous. And then you have to dig deeper and find out what percentage that person is. 50%? We've all collectively decided that's OK. 25%? 10%? It's so stupid. There's nothing like taking a word and making it taboo to give it extreme power. It's so counterproductive.
1
So you are assuming a behaviour behind closed doors of your friends because of their race? You're judging them based on that, especially with no actual evidence? There's a word for that......
1
To like someone just because your enemy dislikes them literally makes her a proxy troll for you. Way to keep it classy.
