  1. This is the problem, the whole thing is shrouded in a sort of deluded fashion of "being decent" and "what's the decent thing". This then moves from reporting to opinion making. The right wing press is equally suffering from this. The pursuit of different peoples ideas and standard of "what's decent" becomes the main focus. The problem at the BBC however is shameful because we all have to pay them for the pleasure of the opinions on their decency.

  5. The license fee needs to go, the BBC "could" be reformed but it not before a large proportion of contractually expensive people are moved out of the corporation. Under natural circumstances that is too long to wait.
