How the main thrust of government seems to utterly ignore the "grass roots" is unbelievable to me. What annoys me is the saying I hear alot from Tory MPs "we are a broad church", that one line from an MP turns me right off anything else they have to say because its usually followed by some left wing clap trap.

This is the type of thing that seems on the face of it, should be a rather easy and well organised sort of service. It's unbelievable that something like this is allowed to turn into a massive pain in the arse for people who just want to close a door on a difficult period. These blobby sorts seem to have quotas for everything but their own job standards. By the way I see the same, what I call "acceptable mediocrity" EVERY, SINGLE DAY in the NHS and I am sick of telling managers about it. They are sick of me too no doubt but it makes me ill being "morally damaged" every day in it.

Felt there wasnt much here about solving the blob problem beyond bringing in some americanised system. Im not sure their system works any better. Its a very tough nut to crack but its as clear as day there is a huge bias in the blob now.

Met him recently at the conference in Birmingham an utterly charming chap with no airs or graces, just common sense.

@Anon Nemo many of us are aware, but it's funny (and terribly sad) to see the mental disconnect they go through when trying to consider tackling the problems. Good hard working people are worked harder and harder to make up for feckless, lazy, stupid people who by extension of this are rewarded for being incompetent or the rest. This emboldens others to follow suit.

Its my very real opinion that the politcians are little more than the Blob themselves, since the last war they seem to have fallen into the habit (or addiction) of letting others make decisions for the country. These others dress up as the EU, various unelected global bodies such as the UN or WHO. They are often appear very conflicting with our country and bash us when they get the chance. Wheb politician's are challenged to make decisions for the country they appear to shrug and point to these people i mention as the "problem". Really it is them, they are weak and only want othera to make the decisions, they just implement, legislate and put the others orders into action, this is typically the role of the Civil Servant and hence why i believe our politicians are little better.
