  4. I work with a Bulgarian Lady in the NHS, she is incredibly hard working, commutes 3 hours a day to get here, conscientious and professional. She is also one of the few remaining white people where I work, the rest, what I call the "best and brightest" of Africa and South Asia make up the rest. This all started changing 10 years from a dept that provided excellent patient care to one that cannot be bothered to scratch its own backside without someone else doing it for them. I hate the place intensely.

  5. If it was a strength, then china, india, russia, and all the rest would be flooding them in like they were going out of fashion. Thet aren't so why are we told we must do this?

I trained the Bulgarian lady myself, she was qualified to work in my section from Bulgaria obviously, she just needed help with procedures and interpretation of results. She was fully qualified in 6 months, a wholly useful, hard working, conscientious and warm hearted member of staff. Contrast this with Africa and Asia's "best amd brightest". Some I still have on my training schedules after 2 years! Difficult to manage, always off sick, basic knowledge missing or unable to assimilate, some don't even know the names of the most basic tests we do despite being apparently "qualified". I spend 95% of my training schedule on this gang, this alongside trying to output patient care at the level I demand of myself. I wish I could have 1 more Bulgarian lady like Ana and swap 10 of the rest.
