The biggest tragedy about past migration, especially from the likes of pakistan etc, they took thousands of these people from the poorest parts of that place, still used to burning dung and little else, and plonked them into old industrial and mining towns which were little better off with unemployment, drugs, crime and god knows what else. Why they did any of this at the time thinking it was a good idea is anyones guess.

  3. It is beyond me why so many youth vote for the left, what are they being offered by them these days?? I wont lie i used to vote for the left in the early 90s, i was a working man and their offer then appealed to me. But as i crawled out of borderline poverty i started voting tory because at that time their offer to me was appealing. But now they vote left and despite getting older they appear to be remaining left wing. I dont get it.
