Yeah, it's fair to compare that to the city of Chicago which has the same number of people in the urban area as Utah has in the entire state, where over 70,000 gang members prowl the streets, where there is huge economic disparity.   23. The argument has already been made. Had Lanza not had the Bushmaster and was left with handguns, he would not have been able to inflict the type of carnage he did. If taking the Bushmaster from the equation would have saved even one of the twenty children, that would have been a victory of sorts. If Choo, the VA Tech shooter had been reduced to having only revolvers, he never would have killed 32 students. This is simple math.

Hell, a guy killed 13 people at the Ft. Hood military base, one filled with MPs and armed soldiers.
