He knew the conditions of the prison system. He should have considered that before committing a crime.
1
We are not going to free a killer because you like him. He must face the consequences for his crimes.
1
No.
1
No. He killed two people and must face the consequences for his crimes.
1
Luckily it's not true
1
I don't know what's worse. The people signing it or to think that a petition is actually going to change the sentence. Petitions don't work like that!
1
@Lectiophile-08 I don't know where you're from or what laws do you have. But that's not happening in the US. In the USA 1 year is one 1 year. And 24 years are 24 years.
1
What? No. 24 years are 24 years. He will get out in 2045.
1
The other guy didn't kill anyone.
1
Because that's his job
1
@rlaiin2983 It's not her fault. She was legally crossing the street. She was careful, she looked around. There was no way she could have predicted that they would be racing with a speed of over 100 mph through a residential area. She never had a chance
1
That's literally impossible
1
@meowmeowmeowmeowmeowmw I hope so
1
@timelinescandals I pity you
1
No. He explains it because it's his job.
1
It's only 24 years. That's nothing compared what he did to the victims
1
It wasn't an accident. Racing is not just a trivial offense, it's a serious crime because it is so dangerous. He knew exactly what he was doing is wrong and illegal and highly dangerous. He was intentionally putting innocent lives in danger. Racing is not an accident. He willingly killed two people. He knew all the risks and dangers. It was a conscious and deliberate decision to put innocents in danger.
1
He knew he could kill someone.
1
He deserves every second of those 24 years.
1
The killer of a mother and a child doesn't deserve a second chance.
1
That's one of the dumbest comments I ever seen 🤣
1
He had many second chances. He was pulled over many times for speeding. Some people will never learn and now he has killed two people. He deserves every second of those 24 years. He can consider himself lucky. If he were a bit older he would have gotten a life sentence.
1
I'm glad you're not in charge of anything. You belong to the middle ages with your antiquated world view.
1
What is wrong with you
1
@michapol5182 There is no official statement for what exactly the company paid for. Camerons mother worked for an insurance company in the upper management. She has a lot of power. She knows how to pressure and black such a company. We don't know the details of that deal. Since his appeal failed he can't appeal again. With good behavior he can apply for parole after completing at least 85% of his sentence. That's still well over 20 years
1
@michapol5182 The insurance company didn't have to pay anything. They only pay if it's an accident. They don't cover it in an illegal street race.
1
@michapol5182 They sold the house yes. But they just bought another one. The 6 Million is not their money. They blackmailed and pressured the insurance company to pay for it. They're not bankrupt. Not even close.
1
That's not true
1
An appropriate punishment for killing two people
1
Does it matter?
1
Killing two innocent people must have consequences.
1
@treyjenkins5672 But that doesn't take away his responsibility. He has to face the consequences for his actions.
1
@treyjenkins5672 I never went 102 mph through a residential area with sidewalks on both sides and a speed limit of 40. I don't risk the lives of other people.
1
@treyjenkins5672 He had a really bad habit of excessive speeding and racing. It's just a matter of time until he would have killed someone else.
1
At the time he was an 18 year old adult man who's fully responsible for his actions.
1
Nah. He can apply for parole after completing 85% of his sentence. Not sooner
1
Nope. He must at least serve 85% of his sentence before he can even apply for parole. That's the law in Florida.
1
@manwiththeplan7143 As I just explained. You can take your car to a race track where you can drive as fast as you want
1
@manwiththeplan7143 That means that there are good ways to use a car that's that fast.
1
You can take your car to a racing track or visit a country with no speed limits.
1
He killed two people
1
Luckily his appeal was rejected
1
@Connection-Lost What if that child grows up to be the next Isaac Newton or Nikola Tesla? We don't know but because of Cameron we will never know. Because he decided that having fun is more important than people's lives.
1
Absolutely not
1
@manwiththeplan7143 A gun is not a good example because the only purpose of a gun is to kill and hurt. And again, you can take your car legally to a racing track.
1
How dumb are you
1
@captainmeowzers You are sick. Try to get some help
1
No
1
@annaxuan19 the crash only happened because he decided to do an illegal and highly dangerous street race. The other person got 6 years.
1
That other guy didn't kill anyone that's why he got only 6 years.
