I hate to think about the people who go to Uruguay & hope to get naturalized only to find out that there is literally a second class citizenship for naturalized people, even if they succeed in getting it, which they probably won't.

What is interesting about this statement is that it is true for people on either side of the political spectrum in the US. It's democracy is so disfunctional that people on the left & right both want to go elsewhere for a functional democracy & a more reliable government.
