Everything that could challenge the US has peaked. That's what people want to hear
2
As much as people try and deny it, this is the exact same situation the US allies are with China. South Korea, Japan, Germany. Hell, even India
2
@apveening Actually, the population of west Taiwan will have in 5 years!
2
It's wrong to blame China's problems all on Xi. If you look at China's development model when they are growing at 10% every year you will realise that it was very unsustainable and was going to end eventually. Xi's problem is the lack of competency in try to solve that issue. Going back to Mao policies won't work, but knowing the CCP, anything Xi does know isn't going to stay the same in the next decade or so.
2
@nanaholic01 Again, good effort but still not quite there. The simple fact is that China raising worker productivity helps the demographic decline. That's an obvious fact. China's workforce is shrinking but each generation has more advanced technology available and are also better educated. Hence the rise in productivity. All those economists make their predictions towards an audience like you, because they know you'll latch onto it without using basic knowledge first. No hard feelings, feel free to try again
2
@Angel-gs9rg You are a 5 star military general aren't you?
2
@GeoScorpion that set you right off didn't it LMAO. Having a bad day sweetheart? I can imagine you reading this and I almost feel sorry for you
2
Believe it or not, china is actually capitilist.
2
@Pepe-dq2ib You don't actually know what you are talking about do you. Saying "they've already failed" is wrong. Like I said, unlike Japan in the 1990s, china implemented their own policies which made Evergrande collapse. You don't know anything about the Chinese economy other than the crap that you've come up with yourself and called reality. PS, Japan doesn't have the fastest construction and if you think that is what economic productivity is, you should do some more research or get back to school like the other children your age
2
@Deathroce You are one of those people I dislike. Take a quick look in AI and supercomputing and technology in overall. China is ahead of us in that sector. China's influence pretty much everywhere. That phone or computer you are using probably has a Chinese part in it. I've started boycotting Chinese products and you should aswell. But in terms of the world population, china is still very much the world's factory and it will probably continue to do so. Like I said, you can deny Chinese influences and that's your choice. But if choose not to face up to the threat of China, the next generation of our world, will be Chinese dominated.
1
Glad you ain't working for the Pentagon. You would doom the states with your shitty knowledge and expectations
1
@brandonhernandez116 Yeah I agree, another thing, the US seems to always spend too much time and effort into attempting to block and slow china's progress instead of pushing their own innovation. I know you'll mention the "investments" that the US is putting in, but still, much more effort is being used to block and slow China. Even white house officials are openly talking about "slowing china's rate of innovation" If only that effort was put into actually fostering US innovation. Which it's not, despite the "investments"
1
Nah, Zeihan is a joke. He knows nothing and speaks rubbish, in a way that comforts people who are biased to America
1
India should have seen this coming. The fact that they didn't, says a lot about them in my opinion
1
Why not just N. N which stands for 'normal'.
1
@brandonhernandez116 Well I'm not surprised by your stance. I do agree with you though, people focus on headlines to much. But the headlines don't mention China's R&D spending rocketing up to the US and how china is innovating. The US is still ahead, but china's ambition, money and prioritisation of technology shouldn't be shunned aside and replaced with old stereotypes
1
America has an empire. By hiding it and denying it just shows how some people are biased AF and can't take the truth without crapping themselves in comment sections
1
Well the US military is absolutely everywhere. They probably have secret bases in your back garden at this point If China or Russia started expanding influence and power, you'd call it an evil empire. Man up and stop being a hypocrite
1
If China had an empire, you'd shit your pants and whine about how they have an orbit and aren't decent fellas.
1
@brandonhernandez116 The innovation ranking you used was probably not accurate at all. China isn't in a "sorry ass state" and they are innovating in upcoming technology and if the US doesn't stop that, they'll become the world leader in AI etc. Take it from the Pentagon and not me. The leader of the IT defence sector resigned last year and said "China had already won the AI race" and now the US Congress is pushing for a huge competition bill to spend more on technology to counter China. Lots of teens usually overlook the fact China is moving up the value chain. The US wouldn't be prioritising technological dominance if China weren't either
1
@realdanksta2237 How do you think they got their #2 economic status. Lol. Just because the government is communist, doesn't mean the economy is. India's economy is already crashed.
1
@bighands69 China is still moving up the value chain in terms of artificial intelligence and other technology. I mean that's what the Pentagon said anyway
1
This channel is awful, but there is a channel called caspian report you will like
1
@frank-ko6de I understand your pain. You grew up with the US being unchallenged. Now that the US is being challenged on all fronts by CHINA, you can't cope with it.
1
China's military is now moving towards a more voluntary force. It is still in a working process.
1
@endianAphones Automation can help their workforce. That's without saying
1
India can't invade OVER the himalayas Just nkt possible
1
You keep telling yourself that Ollie. You just keep doing that.
1
But that's the problem, they only fought with rocks and clubs. No guns and tanks and planes. Many Indians are deluded to think they can thrash China in war. Sure, India is strong but without America, they are fucked. America is the only country that should be powerful. Not Chinese not Indian.
1
We all have been for bloody 20 years
1
The Indian economy is trash. USA is the most formidable country.
1
@christopherross8358 Chrissy making predictions like a crystal ball gypsy lol
1
Well then, think twice. Taiwan probably can't join the cptpp because some countries are pro China
1
That's the knee jerk assumption. No one in China is going to be able to take down Xi at the moment
1
@investor615 Another knee jerk reaction, but that's fine.
1
But this time, it's much worse for the whole world. China's much richer and advanced compares to 1960s and 70s
1
@vivafreedom4947 Since 2001, China's average wealth per person has risen by 250 percent. And that's since 2001.
1
@vivafreedom4947 Again, the knowledge shown is shocking. The average Chinese person in 2022 is richer than the average person in 1972. Duh?
1
@vivafreedom4947 Good effort, but the west has "stopped buying from China" for 10 years now.
1
Bruh just leave him alone, it was funny a couple years ago
1
Ummmmm, your research seems to be absolutely bullshit lol
1
@techtutorvideos I think AI and robots will play a huge part in productivity. Having a huge number of people is great but Chinese workers are not productive and that's why the demographics are a major issue.
1
@antixocialman Most American pre teens have that belief
1
@jfkst1 Nope, I'll give you another shot.
1
@jfkst1 Unlikely
1
@content_enjoyer4458 Exactly. India isn't going to do anything to China through the Himalayas, that's just suicide for no reason. Countries don't just decide to sacrifice 1 million men when fighting an already superior foe.
1
@content_enjoyer4458India can't really do much. They could try to invade China over the Himalayas, but that would result in monstrous casualties for the Indians, with China just sitting back on the defensive with a couple MGs pointed at the hilltops. Not the best idea.
1
@Homer-OJ-Simpson It wouldn't. Most of the world do not have much to say when it comes to AI. China has a lot. They are developing loads of AI like the US. Countries don't develop technology at the same time, pace and level as China, the US and others. Let me set you an example. The US has had hypersonic missiles since the early 2000s. But that technology will be available to other countries as well, meaning the US will diminish in power compared relative to others. Other countries may have that tech, but its the level of technology that matters. Obviously I don't expect AI to solve all of china's issues. But it will definitely help with a good handful. By the way, Japan stagnated in the 90s due to their housing bubble crash. Demographics only started to set in by 2010 and onwards. You can't just say demographics stagnated Japan back then, because it wasn't the root cause. Far from it
1
@Homer-OJ-Simpson Well at the moment, Japan has already failed the switch and has been caught in the low productivity and low innovation trap. Japan has the lowest labour productivity out of all the G7 countries.
1
@Homer-OJ-Simpson It's not as easy as just 'using AI' The Japanese aren't prioritising AI and tech integration into their workforce. AI does boost labour productivity, the fact that the Japanese are so unproductive just tells us how they aren't using it
