You mean like anyone wearing a vertical belt rig is "flagging" anyone on the floor below them? Guns don't go off just sitting in holsters, unless the holster is absolute cheap garbage (like the suede or nylon sausage sack clip ons, or a leather belt holster that is soft because it is well past need for replacement).

@BDaltonYoung Yeah, back when my preferred EDC was a .45 Commander, I used a horizontal shoulder rig (Bianchi harness and double magazine pouch, El Paso holster- because I didn't care for the Bianchi 1911 horizontal holsters) for days I was driving long distances. More comfortable than strong side behind the hip inside the waistband (my preferred carry) when sitting in a car seat, and (provided you adjusted your jacket properly when buckling up) still accessible while seated and wearing a seat belt (try drawing from behind the hip, while wearing a cover garment, wearing a seat belt behind the wheel... no bueno).

Eh, they have their niche uses. Wearing formal wear (which Bond does a lot) is one of those use cases. Just not appropriate for most people in most situations. But then, the same can be said for a lot of things - super useful for some people in their particular situation, not worth the bother for most.

I keep wanting a Bianchi X15 for my 7¾" Ruger Super Redhawk (admittedly, "because Dirty Harry" - yes, it's not a S&W M29, not Bond), even tbough I know a nylon chest holster makes way more sense for me since I'm never going to be trying to conceal it. 😂
