  11.  @psycronizer  Take a look at history with particular reference to the period after the 1st World War through to the outbreak of World War 2 .You will find a number of common factors which establish that inflation and an economic depression were to be expected after the ravages of Covid . Don't blame Biden but accept what he is facing was inevitable and he has Putin to add further misery and dislocation.If the ridiculous Trump had won a second term he would have faced the same problems and he would have had a nervous breakdown.

  21.  @ecurewitz  That is one scenario I have envisaged but perhaps it is simply that Trump can't cope without the trappings of power .He became so used to being President that he is now surrounding himself with items which remind him of the White House and the daily briefings etc ignoring the fact that by doing that he is breaching security protocols . It is extremely difficult to understand what goes on in Trumps head because he is ,to some extent, a man who has always been powerful and ruthless .Who could restrain him and did he ever accept that there was such a thing as Society?

The answer is that it was no accident and had been carefully planned by the Trump supporters who comprise the religious right wing for example Mike Pence the former Vice President . I understand that the right wing believe that they are protecting the lives of babies and give that priority over the rights of women in all circumstances .

I think there are some good people who are involved in politics and / or public service but the news media does not make it easy to trust anyone . All we can do is watch carefully what is happening and then make a judgement on the basis of the evidence .The Congressional Hearings have been illuminating and the search warrant served on Trump has disclosed that he can't be trusted to obey the law when it comes to government documents. At this stage one does wonder why he is not under arrest.
