@VintageBalderdash Yes. A taser is supposed to incapacitate you, he could have stolen the officer's gun after he was stunned. I'd like to see how cerebral you'd be in this situation.
15
@endlessrskies1 What other option do they have? Are you saying you should be able to fire incapacitating weapons at the police with impunity? He could have taken the officer's gun while he was on the ground, stunned from the taser shock. Maybe it wasn't justified, but I'd like to see how cerebral you'd be in this situation.
14
@pietrojenkins6901 Why the hell do unjust laws force you to destroy innocent people's businesses?
8
@chavvy9074 Jesus Christ this comment made my head hurt.
6
@pbl5993 The difference is Floyd was already "defeated" and they had nine minutes to think about what they were doing.
5
@miketrav Ummm, look at the videos. Like 1/3 to 1/2 of the protestors are white.
5
@the3rdgoofygoober758 I think this was a joke.
3
Do you even know what 3rd degree murder is? It's punishable by up to 40 years in prison.
2
@salsadancer00 The people who killed Floyd and Garner had minutes to think about their decisions. Let's see how cerebral you become when someone turns around and fires an incapacitating weapon at you.
2
@runawayuniverse He turned around and fired a weapon at them, a weapon that was meant to incapacitate. He could have stolen the officer's gun while he was on the ground.
2
@BenReillySpydr1962 What would the world look like if you could resist arrest by any means, as long as it was "non-lethal"? He didn't deserve to die, but I'd like to see how cerebral you'd be when a maniac turns around and fires a weapon that could incapacitate you at you. John Adams became a national hero by getting British soldiers acquitted for the Boston Massacre.
2
@EridianX The purpose of a taser is to incapacitate. I'd like to see what you'd do if a violent criminal tried to incapacitate you, especially when you were armed with a weapon they could steal.
2
@andrewstupak6668 If you're going to use violence, use violence against the people who actually did something wrong. Why is George Zimmerman still alive but three random officers in Baton Rogue and five random officers in Dallas Texas dead? Besides, police oversight has increased since the spate of shooting. Officers now wear body cams, and we had about 4 years without any shooting up until now.
2
Uhhh actually the Democrats were behind the Confederacy and the KKK and the voter suppression. Read history. Liberals try to weasel out of this by saying the parties "flipped" in the 1960s but that would mean Joseph McArthy was a liberal and FDR was a conservative.
1
@chaotic_d1saster Exactly, so what are the rioters rioting about? He hasn't been acquitted of any charges.
1
Pretty sure this will be South Africa, where it's illegal to shoot a criminal unless he shoots first (yes, that's actually a law).
1
What did the White House do? It's the Mayor who has power over the Minneapolis police department, not the Federal Government. Police brutality should have always been handled at a local level.
1
Yes.
1
This doesn't even make any sense, how will this solve anything? I don't know exactly how the power structure works, but I would guess its the Chief of Police who charges other police officers with crimes, and the Mayor who hires/fires the Chief of Police. Those are the two people who need to be removed and failed to do their job. What's to stop a Community Based Police Force from murdering people?
1
It's amazing how liberals suddenly become pro-death penalty when it involves killing cops.
1
When a man named Kenneth Foster was about the be executed for murder despite not firing a shot even I was outraged enough to pass around a petition. Yet you want them executed simply for not intervening?
1
I'm sure there are plenty of people in Africa who would love the trade places with you, why not ask them? It'll be a win-win.
1
@tillyqtillyq3750 Let's see how predatory you think these businesses are when they leave the neighborhood.
1
@gilletabdi8268 Lol when did you try "the peace shit"? Every single time a supposedly racist cop kills a black person, the reaction is violent.
1
@sapphireashes7824 It might not have been justified, but how cerebral would you be in that situation?
1
It's not "the death penalty", the cops panicked and acted in self-defense, like the British soldiers in the Boston Massacre that Adams defended. What do you think the world would look like if you could resist arrest with anything short of "lethal force"? Ideally they should have shot him in the legs but if you've ever fired a gun you'd know how insanely hard it is to accurately hit a stationary target, let along a moving one.
1
@katiekaliber It doesn't take 9 minutes to suffocate someone. Frankly I'm surprised he could be killed by anything he could survive for 9 minutes.
1
@Razzy1312 But it does make it third degree murder, which is what he's being charged with. And yet they are still rioting.
1
We should burn down random people's businesses until gang violence stops!
1
What would the world look like if criminals could do this sort of thing with immunity?
1
I don't think this was justified, but I don't think it was criminal either. It's like the British soldiers shooting people at the Boston Massacre. John Adams, our Founding Father, got them acquitted.
1
Who cares? They got to stick it to the man, that's what matters.
1
oscar Do those still exist up North?
1
"I'm proud of you guys attacking innocent people for the crimes of the guilty."
1
When was the last time anyone got death penalty for a single murder?
1
Third degree murder can get you up to 40 years in prison. I'm sorry but I detect a wiff of phoniness on all this outrage.
1
Augh, I think I'm going to be sick. Someone like Saddam disappeared 100,000 a year yet you called Bush a warmongering Nazi imperialist for toppling his regime. Meanwhile 1 man dies and the killer is arrested and you're calling to "burn it all down"? Liberals love to "give peace chance" when it saves the lives of tyrants and terrorists, but in all other circumstances you cry for blood at the drop of a hat.
1
This will be like the French Revolution. Initially it was populist movement fighting for a cause so pure no one could imagine being oppose to it, then it became worse than what they were fighting.
1
Most of the protestors in this video are white, yet SJWs consider white people the enemy and all other minorities BROTHAS IN DA STRUGGLE. So perverse, backwards, and disgusting.
1
It was not a death sentence, it was a spur of the moment decision. He didn't have 9 minutes to think it through like George Floyd. Samuel Adams became a national hero for getting British soldiers who shot into a crowd of protestors who threw SNOWBALLS at them off the hook.
1
@Cuddlydeath You sound like someone who's never fired a gun. You wouldn't believe how easy it is to even hit a stationary target from that distance with a hand gun.
1
John Adams became a national hero for getting British soldiers who fired into the crowd at the Boston Massacre acquitted.
1
Have you ever fired a gun? It is very hard to hit a stationary target, let alone a moving one.
1
It doesn't take 9 minutes to suffocate someone. If he had truly intended to kill him it would have been over much sooner.
1
"Justice" is being served, but they're delivering it to random business owners for some reason.
1
@TymerTopCat A TOY!? Are you f***ing kidding me!? The purpose of a taser is to incapacitate! Are you saying police officers should just shut up and take it if a violent criminal wants to incapacitate them!? He could have easily stolen the cop's gun and shot killed him! In retrospect, I think shooting this dude was wrong, but Christ alive, how cerebral would you be in this situation?
1
Liberals believe in death penalty for a supposedly racist cops, but not serial killers. Liberals believe in "give peace a chance" when it spares people like Saddam Hussein and the Taliban, but not on the streets of America. It's clear whose side you're really on.
1
Force change by looting innocent people's businesses!? Is that the one size fits all solution to the world's problems, because it doesn't seem particularly designed for this kind of problem!
1
@MissTopDJ007 I don't recall the Founding Fathers calling to burn down innocent people's businesses during the American Revolution.
1
Thomas Kelly, Joseph Hutcheson, Ariel Roman, Tony Timpa, get out there sister!
