Well done USA, this is non escalatery defence equipment to help save lives, I understand jets and attack helicopters could be viewed as offensive weapons, but these are purely defensive.

Shouldn't be having anything to do with our enemies, go and read the comment section at the Hindustan Times youtube channel and you'll understand why. Their support for Russia is also a good reason why this kind of thing should not be happening, the sale of the British Meteor ATA missile should also be scrapped, along with assistance to help them build jet engines.

Lots of things are still made in the UK, it's just you don't know much about engineering so it's off your radar.
29
@madeanaccounttospillthebor9568 Curry was created by Britain, of course it's available in the UK.
28
As these people are entering the UK can you do a check to find out how many are asylum seekers that previously entered the UK then went back to the place they were claiming was too dangerous to be in and living there, seems to be happening a lot these days, loads of the people from Afghanistan who came after the withdrawal were previous asylum seekers going back there for a holiday with their family, this system is an absolute joke at our expense.

Russia, go back to Siberia, get out of Europe

It would be wise to remember Russia is currently in collaboration with Argentina to supply fighter jets capable of harassing the Falkland Islands, Argentine fanaticism has never ceased or been apologised for, it's time to start extracting oil from the British economic area surrounding the Falklands and use some of the money to increase defence. A couple more Eurofighters with modern anti ship missile capabilities, 4 wildcat helicopter with Martlet anti landing craft capability, a few longe range ground launched anti ship missiles wouldn't go amiss, and maybe a couple of silo launched Tridents as an insurance policy.

I'd ask him why the British were used to protect Poland's borders, but not our own?
13
There's nothing wrong with living in Pakistan, it's much more culturally compatible, also a video explaining why the country collapsed so quickly would be enlightening, the tens of thousands of ghost soldiers that didn't exist in reality but the Afghan government claimed existed because we were paying their wages, she can ask her own government hiding in some rich Arab country with all our stolen money for help .
13
@death_parade India still can't produce engines for the gen 3 "indigenous" fighter jet "meh"
11
The same Amnesty International that told Ukraine not to defend their own cities because it endangers civilians?
11
@austincharles967 You're wrong, the South African guy who was in this video designed a 20mm cannon round rifle the South Africans used against the Cubans and Russians in the 1980's
11
@rojorosa They haven't done anything to be critical of though, I'm not aware of any Azov soldiers going into Russia and killing people?
10
Every time I see Argentine comments saying "Las Malvinas" I ponder on how they found a video titled "Falklands". They must have had to type in "Falklands" in the search bar, which must have infuriated them, why they continually look for English videos to start arguments is beyond me, Churchill once said "a fanatic is someone who never changes the subject and never shuts up". In Argentine primary schools they actually indoctrinate children with this fanatical nonsense, it's actually pretty sick doing this to children, and not teaching them to form their own opinions objectively.

Ukraine needs aircraft, the UK does not have sufficient tanks to be giving them away, we should be giving them 24 Tornado aircraft with targeting pods, increasing the Brimstone range to 60km stand off, low cost heavy bombs 500lb and 1000lb, and throw in a few dozen Storm Shadow cruise missiles with a 560km range with its 990lb warhead this could be used for picking off ammo storage facilities way back from the front out of reach of rocket artillery. And 8 Apache attack helicopters which could be used at night during the coming offensive to soften up the front lines, Russia has little to no night fighting capacity.
10
If someone works in McDonald's in Russia, are they now owed US citizenship because of this? what a ridiculous precedent to set.
9
No it's not, the people in the video are cleary speaking Ukrainian or Russian, 2 years to learn how to line up crosshairs on a target, where do you people get this stuff.
8
I see the active discrimination has taken hold.
8
You also said "we want to embrace the best talent" but recent comments from serving and veteran Airforce service personnel have told the public there are now in place active discrimination policies against British men in favour of foreign people in our country, this comment is offensive.
8
Yep, the UK bought 105mm light artillery guns from NZ and AUS to give Ukraine, the NZ instructors were training those guys
8
I have to agree with a few comments here about the possibility of this falling into Russian hands and then enemies like India and China, I don't think it should be given, the Harpoon missiles given are a bigger threat to naval landing forces.
8
Give it a rest, this constant sexual nonsense is degeneracy.
8
Buy? How can they buy before even building a factory to build them, didn't Labour literally Knock Down the factory that builds them? The absolute stupidity of these politicians is unreal, buy some foreign tanks less well protected than C2 and give REME two separate vehicles to maintain? Sure they'll love that. Wouldn't it have been a better idea to buy tanks to donate to Ukraine rather than give away vehicles not in production any more? But why would Sunak care, he'll be making use of his green card by the time the chickens come home......
7
If these were illegal migrants it would be claimed this is against their human rights to be kept in such conditions, we need English politicians running this country not foreigners with foreign interests.
7
The US dropped the M60 decades ago, are you 12?
7
They'll visit a French training video?
7
Why did we need buy an off the shelf chassis from GD land systems? The UK is one of the top countries in building armoured vehicles. Someone got some healthy kickbacks for accepting the bid and not investing in a UK to build the chassis from scratch, a UK company that would actually be held accountable when things don't work.
6
You need to educate yourself on the manufacturing process
6
Portsmouth shipbuilding should never have been shut down to appease Scottish voters (which didn't work) in fact Portsmouth shipbuilding facilities should have been upgraded to cope with working on and building QE class size ships. What an absolute farce.
6
Can yu stop buying things and start developing things, the war in Ukraine has highlighted how unreliable certain nations are in emergencies.
6
I think Russia relies on luck to power her ships, what did happen to their carrier?
6
Isn't this kinda offensive considering nobody in the RAF has been held accountable for hiring based on gender and skin colour? Not talent, making statements like this is in poor taste in my opinion.
6
The only way to solve this is get the Chinese and Indian 5th column out of Downing Street and stop spending 10 million pounds a day housing our enemies in 4* hotels.
6
The Azov volunteers have single handedly made the Professional Russian Armed forces look like incompetent clowns, they have cemented themselves in the annals of military history.
5
It's kept filled with water, the temp remains consistent
5
@GrimsGhostG59 but you're Mexican
5
@Cardnim He's talking about the forced ethnic discrimination not the technology
5
Is this Minister proud that the police investigated a member of Parliament for telling a Bahraini man stalking him in public to get lost and go home and said Bahrain is a lovely country, and this needed a police investigation? I sometimes wonder what freedoms our armed forces are actually protecting!
5
Well we're not in a conflict, so you're comment is irrelevant, we stockpile while not at war, not hard to understand
5
If you look through all of his military career, he never served in any 'multicultural' regiments with homosexual trans black dwarves from a Hindu background, strangely enough, which is why people get annoyed when the communist establishment tries to interject revisionist history that Bond could have been based on such a character.
5
Sorry, why are we flying those people to the UK? This was America's operation, we were assising them, if the Afghan people valued what was built there over the past 15 years they would have put a bit more effort into fighting to preserve it.
5
there aren't any mercs from Britain
5
14 tanks each firing 25 rounds a day, that 350 rounds a day for all 14 vehicles, that 2,450 a week for all vehicles, basically 10,000 a month, people keep saying send 50 tanks, send 100 tanks, I doubt there is ammunition to supply more than 10,000 rounds a month for a prolonged period of time.
5
Well it was labour who put them all in wheelchair etc
5
@vikingrasarya5792 I have a friend who lives in Crimea, he told me the referendum was completely fabricated.
4
Why not invest in production in this country? at least the money given then supports jobs here.
4
You're optimistic he'll finish his first term
4
Except you're wrong, you can own 556mm rifles in the UK. And 7.62mm
4
@1chish The real machining and building of components is done abroad, then shipped to the UK and bolted together, meaning all the skilled well paid work is given away, surely you understand this?
4
Hopefully not, built in Italy assembled in the UK, disgraceful
