Good for you!
1
There's no reason to.
1
Agree, newer seats don't compare.
1
Owner lives in NJ and just bought the car in Florida. He has comments on this video.
1
@Rjjvor Thanks for your response, you will have a wonderful car once he's finished with it. I'm a regular client of his and always look forward to going there each time and I drive 150 miles.
1
@lydellleopold5884 The sale is over now, Bell Lexus Scottsdale.
1
He just did a vid on an older Avalon and said it's one of the best Toyota's made.
1
Every 30,000 is better. 😁 @happyguy4525
1
He's originally from Iraq and moved here about 12 years ago.
1
He would absolutely say no and stick with your original.
1
The Jiffy Lubes of the world should be outlawed.Just what I want is some kid who was just hired on from flipping burgers to changing my oil.
1
And the Korean cars have much larger failure rate free of charge in the options list.

HEY CAR CARE NUT, I JUST FOUND YOUR CHANNEL AND ENJOY IT. I THINK YOU MENTIONED YOU'RE A TOYOTA TECHNICIAN AT A TOYOTA DEALER? I HAVE A RWD 18 GS F-SPORT THAT NEEDS THE FUEL PUMP RECALL REPLACEMENT. I'M WONDERING IF I CAN HAVE THE RECALL DONE AT A TOYOTA DEALERSHIP? IF SO, I WOULD LOVE IT IF I CAN HAVE YOU PERSONALLY REPLACE IT AT YOUR DEALERSHIP? I'M DOWN IN PEORIA AND WOULDN'T HESITATE TO DRIVE UP TO YOUR DEALER. REASON I MENTION THIS IS THAT EVERY TIME I GET SERVICE DONE HERE THE DEALER ALWAYS DOES COSMETIC DAMAGE TO MY CARS. LOVE THE IS 350 AND THE INTRUSIVE HUMP ON THE TRANSMISSION TUNNEL IS THE SAME ON THE AWD GS. RWD GS'S DO NOT HAVE THIS AND IS THE REASON I WENT RWD. I WENT ALL CAPS HOPING YOU MIGHT NOTICE THIS RESPONSE. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS!
1
That hump was a deal breaker for me when I bought my GS 350 F-Sport. I live in the rust belt where dealers only offer AWD so I bought mine new in Texas with the RWD. Some other GS owners aren't concerned with the hump but it didn't work for me. Fortunately, I don't drive mine in the winter.
1
Yes they do just as my 14 RX has the updated metal lines.
1
This car was in a recent episode of Hoovie & Girlfriend's channel called Good Morning Youtube yesterday.
1
Impressive car for sure! I have a pristine 18 GS 350 RWD F-Sport black/red I bought new with 12,000 miles if you ever want to do a video on it. I bought it new and it never gets driven in the winter. I would love to see you do a video on it. It's so sad so many people don't maintain their cars since it's the second most expensive asset they own next to their home. Love your channel!
1
14 RX owner here bought new, absolutely the best car I've ever owned in my 45 years of driving.
1
You made the right decision buying the last year of the V6 RX. Time will tell if the 4 cylinder proves itself which I'm sure Lexus is doing due to CAFE standards. It's a disappointment that they're going that route since I don't believe a 4cylinder turbo is the right combination that truley needs at a minimum a NA V6. 14 RX here and I had the droning vibration when it was new, turns out it was a defective exhaust system that had a loose baffle in the muffler. You might want to ask the service advisor if the exhaust could possibly be defective. It's not a known issue but, my exhaust was one that probably wasn't welded properly when assembled.
1
Amd always recommends changes at 5,000 miles or 6 months, no exceptions! Do not listen to your dealer on oil change intervals. He had a vid awhile back on a Camery that was changed religiously at 10k from new and the motor was toast because he listened to his dealer on the 10k intervals.
1
@3r8mo Amd gets so many comments here there's no way he can answer everyones questions. You might throw a question to waltnasty above this post who has his own channel and is a Toyota tech at a dealership.
1
No one really knows the history of the car except the seller. It could've been bought at the time and the owner passed away or was unable to drive anymore. I highly doubt the odometer was rolled back, the overall condition speaks otherwise. Storage conditions is what really matters on a low mile example. My bud bought a new Monte SS in 85 and it has 24k miles and it looks more like 3k actual miles. It was climate controlled stored from new. It'll be auctioned at Mecum Indy in May. The photos of it on their site is stunning to say the least.
1
Owners can purchase stated value coverage if it's a total loss. That's what most classic car owners do.
1
Even if he charged double than the dealer I'd still keep going to him. It's such peace of mind not worrying bout my car when I go to his place.
1
I'm jealous, I have to park my baby in the winter.
1
Just buy quality gas and you shouldn't need any fuel additives. I've never used it in any of my cars and they're just fine.
1
@kurtbeck5809 A Stanley Steamer you silly fool.
1
Can't ya drive there? I drive up from Peoria to his place.
1
Use quality fuel instead which I do and never clean your injectors.
1
I take my engine fully apart every 3,000 miles and clean each part by hand and then add new oil. 😁
1
Don't forget to flush the summer air out of them and add the winter air.
1
Never go back to that shop.
1
Watch his latest vid. with the new shop truck for break-in info.
1
You'd be amazed at how many people ship their cars from all over the country to him.
1
That would be fun to do that for sure.
1
That's kind of what I was thinking too.
1
😆
1
I didn't get that either, I'll have to ask him when I go to his place for my next appointment.
1
Wow, this is awesome news. I'm about 2 1/2 hours away from you down in Peoria. I haven't followed your channel too close but is this shop used to produce YouTube content or will your shop be open for the consumer?? Will you disclose the shop location and name when you get it opened?? I have a RX and GS that will need some service. I will never take my cars to a dealer ever again due to damage the careless techs. at them have done. I've been trying to contact you through email to install a fuel pump in my GS but as busy as you are I understand. Hopefully you'll be able to service my Lexus's in the future when shop opens. Best of luck on this huge undertaking! Your shop will succeed due to your vast knowledge and most important, your moral ethics!
1
And that is the million dollar question! I have a fuel pump recall on my Lexus that I keep procrastinating on due to dealer mistrust. Every time I've gone to the dealer I always notice cosmetic damage to my cars.
1
Endless money pits as they age. Mercedes is not what they used to be for long term ownership.
1
You mean snake oil?
1
Mine is better!
1
But in the end you still own a BMW. More of an endless money pit than any Toyota/Lexus.
1
@josepgutierrez22 No attitude at all. All mechanics torque to spec. in most instances.
1
Why would he not?
1
2600 is a steal considering the labor involved. What do you think a dealer would charge for that task? And you also wouldn't have a clue if the job was done correctly. If it was you doing the same job you'd probably charge more. I just love you armchair quarterbacks!
1
You obviously don't understand mechanical labor!
1
I have a 14 RX and changed the oil on it last week with 80k on the odometer. I looked in this problem area and so far it's dry but, it doesn't mean it won't leak in the future. Good thing Amd is only 150 miles from me and he'll be doing this job for sure if the need arises. Looking forward to visiting his shop next month to drain and fill my transmission on my 18 GS. In my 45 years of owning different cars I've never owned a car as good as my 2 Lexus's, I'm definitely keeping them for the long haul.
1
@eleanormassaro5195 I met him a few weeks back and he's just as nice a guy as he is on the channel. He and the Mrs. are stand up people! I almost felt like I was meeting a celebrity. LOL
