He has an alignment machine so he would know if that's the case.
1
I'd bet $$ he'd say no! Nothing good comes from them except messing up your wheel geometry. Just say no to aftermarket junk!
1
Best kind of miles for it.
1
You'd love mine because they have red seats! too many black or tan seats out there.
1
I wouldn't think so.
1
8 years on my Lexus with many DIY oil changes with the plastic housing and no problems yet.
1
It's weird that I've had good luck with my Dunlop's on my factory issued tires on my Lexus. But, I'm going Michelin's next since that's my preferred brand.
1
I'd kill to have a lift but my ceiling is too low
1
Brands vary on different models. I think it's whatever deal the tire maker gives the manufacturer IMO.
1
Wow, that's very nice of you Jeff, bless ya brother!
1
I would go ahead and get the extra parts, I was thinking the same thing as you. You can always sell them if they don't get used. I'm thinking of getting Toyota struts also.
1
Um, that's the brand he specializes in?! No different than being a Lambo or Ferrari specialist. That logic makes no sense.
1
@mikej238 Bingo!
1
Kinda like our current president.
1
Just bought that funnel, it's great.
1
That black is called Caviar, I have the same color on my GS. It's more like a dark dark graphite grey vs. a real black. My RX is called Stargazer and it's more of a real black metallic and looks nicer IMO.
1
Never show emotions to a salesman when buying any car.
1
As long as the friend has car knowledge.
1
Good point, that's what I did but, don't trust the members on the forums because some of them don't know much. I scanned the forums to look for what patterns of issues owners are having with the particular model I'm looking at.
1
Interesting, I didn't know that, I've always been able to access dealer service history on used cars.
1
But where will we find advice on buying a used horse?! 😁
1
He's from Iraq.
1
Good choice!
1
Great cars!
1
Always!
1
Smart man!
1
Even today there's some new brands that are too risky.
1
Always replace in pairs since they're not that expensive.
1
I doubt he'd have a problem with one as long as it checks all the criteria he mentioned in this video.
1
Coming from GM all my life, I made the switch to Lexus 10 years ago and now own 2 of them. Best brand I've ever owned!
1
14 RX owner bought at 5k miles with 84k miles now and Amd does the major service on it. Best car I've ever owned in my life and have always been a stickler on PM's. I have Mobil 1 stacked to the ceiling in my basement. Nothing has ever been repaired on the car and just purchased $2k in Toyota branded wear and tear parts for the future. At 60 I hope it lasts me my lifetime. You won't be dissapointed with your purchase! I also own an 18 GS that I bought new. Long live the NA V-6!
1
Being a former mechanic years ago I always get questions from people of what to buy and they never seem to listen to me so, I gave up giving buying advice.
1
Same here with my 14 & 18 V-6 Lexus's. Have Mobil 1 stacked to the ceiling in my basement, I'm a PM junkie with them.
1
Go to a different dealer.
1
Dealer service history can also be viewed on the car by using the vehicles vin # at any dealership of the brand you're looking at in addition to Carfax... Just visit their service department for a service history print out.
1
The PPI inspector should've seen that the car had had an accident, if you know what to look for it's pretty easy to spot.
1
So true
1
I have an 18 F-Sport and it's been great. Get a PPI done to see the severity of the damage done after the repair. Never trust seller when it says minor or cosmetic damage until you see repair yourself, it could have a bent frame etc...
1
Excellent cars, I own a 14 and it's the best vehicle I've ever owned.
1
He has clients from all over the country bring their cars to him. I live a 150 miles away and take my cars to him.
1
He would recommend Toyota brand oil and plugs. He's not a fan of aftermarket unless the OEM is no longer available.
1
I would.
1
My favorite ratchet is a Western Auto one from the 1960's that still works.
1
Isn't that the truth.
1
They are OEM.
1
I'm really amazed here in the comments just how far some people are coming for this event, it's going to be an awesome event!
1
There's no reason to change the engine.
1
I thought Hoov sold that but, not sure.
1
He will always recommend OEM over aftermarket. Aftermarket always fails before the OEM will.
1
I just spent $2k last week on wear and tear OEM parts for future use for my RX.
