  1. Do you have the ability to change it yourself? A DIY change costs me 40 bucks with a Toyota brand filter and Mobil 1.

  2. 4 bucks each from Bell Lexus of Scottsdale, I just bought a dozen from them recently. Every time I go to Costco when on sale I pick up 2-6 packs of Mobil 1, it's stacked to the ceiling in my basement.

  3. He would probably recommend the coolant for sure and not so much the brake fluid if it tests fine. My 18 Lexus has 15k miles and he changed the coolant and did a drain and fill on the transmission fluid. He stated that time is a factor also on fluid changes. The top 3 fluids to change on schedule is obviously the oil and then the transmission and coolant according to Amd.

  4. I'd say any general purpose automotive cleaner would be just fine to hand wipe the engine compartment. You don't have to be too picky what you use as long as the cleaner isn't caustic.

  6. 45 years of driving here and no one has ever changed my oil except me. I've heard so many horror stories about oil changes thru the years. My luck the kid that would change mine was flipping burgers the day before and destroy my engine.

  9. 11 years and 8 years on my Lexus's and not one ding anywhere, I always park where no one else wants to park and walk the extra mile so to speak. Don't be lazy people and park out if possible.

  24. About every car I've owned had red interior which I love because tan and black is too common in today's cars. In the 90's you could have an interior color of choice as long as it was grey which is hideous to me.
