You're a good dad!
1
Me too, it's a love it or hate it thing with people.
1
14 RX here with 70k on the clock from new. It has never been repaired once, glad I didn't purchase the extended warranty.
1
Automotive Press's channel let the cat out of the bag about a month ago that you got the GX. Awesome color combo, it's the same combo I have on my 18 GS. see ya in May when I come in for service! Amd is the best folks, I drive 150 miles to his shop, I was just there a few weeks ago.
1
It's called Bidenomics.
1
@DK-455 Are you a certified mechanic like he is?
1
You obviously didn't see his Toyota recommended 10k mile oil change worn out engine vid.Owner changed every 10k from new and his 150k mile engine was toast. Oil is cheap, engines are not!
1
Just wait till spring when you hit 1k miles and you'll be fine. Drove my new car 1,100 miles home after I bought it and changed the oil when I got home. Your TRD will last a long time keeping it out of the snow & salt.
1
One of the many reasons I'm leaving Illinois.
1
Great vid as always! Looking forward to my service appt. next week!
1
@Doc1855 It's called making more money on views than what he spent on the car itself.
1
It's called content for the channel.
1
Had to get a new OEM Lexus outside mirror for mine painted and it was $600 but it came with the mirror. Amazingly, it only took 20 minutes to install.
1
I prefer a long vid from him over any Hollywood film.
1
I have a 14 RX that CCN services for me and I live 150 miles away from him. In my 40 years of owning different cars this has by far been the best car I've ever owned.

@djcan9503 Car Care Nut
1
The IS is also available with a NA V6. If I had to buy another car it would be one of those 2. Time is running out on those too before they probably go 4 cyl. turbo.
1
Exactly, especially with the average price on a new one being $48k.
1
I just spent $2k on OEM Lexus parts that are wear and tear items for future use. Aftermarket quality is getting worse.
1
I've found thru the years that giving car advice to friends & family is wasted breath, they never listen and do what they want.
1
14 RX with 85k on it, it's the best car I've ever owned. I just bought $2k worth of wear and tear parts for future use from an online Lexus dealer. If the car ever gets wrecked I'll just sell the parts. I'm fortunate that I live pretty close to Amd's shop.

I personally think projects like this will increase subscribers, it's pretty much what the masses like to see in car content channels. Great job Amd! One tip maybe for the new headlights, I put Paint Protection Film on my 18 Lexus headlights when I bought it new. I think it really helps reduce oxidation and rock chips. They still look brand new to this day. Great series and look forward to the next long term project!
1
Bingo!
1
@MintStiles That's good!
1
@MintStiles And that's what keeps him in business due to failures because of lack of maintenance
1
Listen to your mechanic
1
It's called content for Youtube.
1
I'm pretty sure they are the last time I was at his shop.
1
The exterior has yet to be detailed, just the interior so far has been done.
1
He's going to disclose costs in the next vid.
1
Car lived in Washington state
1
Not all of them, some are made in Kentucky.
1
Couldn't have said it better myself! 👍
1
Unfortunately they phased it out of the new RX which makes no sense at all.
1
@dchrish Probably does if I'm not mistaken. My 18 GS F-Sport requires it unfortunately.
1
Most likely spam, he'd announce a giveaway if he was doing one.
1
He covers protecting the undercarriage in the new Lexus video that he got for his wife awhile back.
1
@riceburner4747 He seems very knowledgeable and he's German and his shop is somewhere in Northern California. I don't think he posts his location on his channel though.
1
You can get a wrench at most auto parts stores, I got mine at O'reilly's. You don't need a genuine Toyota wrench for the filter. Aftermarket works just fine for filter removal.
1
I think that was his new tech. he hired who doesn't like to be on camera.
1
Totally agree. 👍
1
I was going to mention, just get a can of spray foam insulation and spray it behind the bumper and call it a day. 😀
1
@RustyZipper That's not the part I was referring to. One of them is 41:50
1
Anyone catch the 2 hints in this video about a new shop?
1
He just bought the GX for his wife with the V8 knowing Lexus wasn't going to offer the V8 after 2023. I'd get the current one now if I were you.
1
He's a stand up guy, I've been his customer since he opened his shop.
1
On Jason's detail vid he mentioned on it about $45k.
1
There is a video on it he did a while back.
1
I call them grocery store measles.
1
Maybe be a little more specific?! Where does Omer service cars?
