  1.  @azfinn113  I call it The Hinge of History. About 10 years ago I was watching a You Tube video on Machiavelli's The Prince. Towards the end they had Gary Hart on (remember him?) and he said "I believe we are on a cusp of history (I think this was made right at the end of the Cold War). SUDDENLY all these images and thoughts came flooding in. Ever since I've been trying to put it into 25 words or less..with no success. Its a way...a lens to look at everything that has been happening in the last...30-40? years. Collapse of Political Parties...GWOT...Rise of Nationalism...Well EVERYTHING. It requires us to step back and look at the forest..not the trees. At any rate It works for me.

  4.  @ronrobbins789  I like to think of myself as an optimistic pessimists....hope for the best...but expect the worst. BTW IF (please God) Trump wins, get ready....because by 8-9 am Nov. 4 its gonna be Portland all across the country. Hope I am wrong...BUT best be prepared.

  5.  @ronrobbins789  I'm 72, thing is you reach a certain point in life where you just don't really give a damn (or much of a damn) what other people think of you. For me it started 45-50(?), now I REALLY don't give a damn. I try to be civil with those who are civil, but if someone wants to get down and dirty...I can do that too. "Leftists haven't been playing by the rules for a long time. That is why things are the way they are now, and why our country split and at odd ends with one another." I do see that changing. I have friends/acquaintances who are On The Left, and many are starting to express concerns and doubts over what is happening on their side, Riots..Mandatory masks...5 months into a 15 day lockdown, cancel culture.

SJW: "Dave, You are a "Bad Terrible Evil Wicked Person" The reply should be something like Dave: "Yes...And?" or "And The Downside of That Is...?". If it were me because I can actually be a "Bad Terrible Evil Wicked Person", my reply would to ask if the mother is still working the street, and is she still asking $25.00?
