  5. actualy after ww1 the UK was seen as the major world power allong with France, while the USA went back to isolationism thought still very powerfull it was not the world power, after ww2 however the UK was spend and the USA wanted to take a more active roll in the world, so it helped decolonization and blocked other European countries from enforcing their will on collonies. the USA has actualy reduced the UK to the current state they are in, after ww2 they basicialy became a vazal to the USA and the USA does not care about the UK at all and would drop them in a second if they would benefit from it.

  13. word salad truth is the scotish referendum lost by a minor margine and now with brexit looming, the UK government does not want a second refurendum because they know they would likely lose. the UK government is not just ignoring the scotish people (and their own people btw) but openly trying to prevent a refurendum and likely just like in spain would use force to keep scotland under their controle, the truth is the UK has lost the trust and legitimacy of the people and so it is fighting a losing battle, they won't be able to hold it back for much longer, within 10 years it is likely to see a new refurendum and the scotish are likely to leave, that's the truth and your are trying realy hard to convince yourself otherwise. though northern ireland is likely to leave first it seems.

I highly doubt that paramilitary terrorism will matter much, after all why give in to the demands of terrorists? and aren't there way bigger issues to fight over then northern ireland vs republic of ireland nonsense? we aren't talking about north and south korea, hell eastern germany was ruled under the stazi and they have rejoined without much of an actualy conflict, why then would tiny Northern ireland overreact? reunification gets so much done in such a short time, I would expect more terrorism if they are in limbo and dont have the EU, UK or Ireland covering them

Israel did not exist as a nation, nether did south sudan or kosovo, in the world of nationhood states might makes right, taiwan is a country except for China does it matter? In the end it does.

  28.  @samwell8  well it was taken and many of it's people got english immigration and were largely converted to protistantism, that's how collonialism works, that's how the USA became a superpower, likewise due to demografic shifts they could vote to become part of ireland, this is why demografics matters which is why regardless how often the media calls certain people "far right" or an ism their views keep spreading because they are correct. Here in the Netherlands we have a pro islam and pro migrant party which only came to be due to changing demografics due to immigration. It's rather odd how when the majority of people in Cremea are russian and voted to join Russia it is seen as an annexation but when demografics can change and transform a whole nation it is seen as normal and a conspiracy theory if you complain about it. Yes, yes I know about the military presence in Cremea if they realy did not wish to join they could have rebelled they did not.

Might makes right, likewise in the west the idea and identity of the nation states is being undermined which is why you see a backlash of nationalism in western nations and immigration. Nations are a collective of institutions, cultures and identities that exist to protect and if growing expand to other nations, it's the history of humanity, waging war and annexing land. Every nation is contested one way or another, one wins, loses or maintains their existence, culture and identity.

  30.  @breanainnlyness7910  ironic since all of Europe are ethnostates, israel is an ethnostate, China is an ethnostate (han Chinese) the USA for a long time was a white ethnostate, the truth is most nations are ethnostates the exceptions are former colonial countries which have a disputed ethno-cultural identity which often leads to conflict between natives and non-natives, like in south africa, israel (colonial country), western Europe between migrant populations, things like multiculturalism have often only been forced through authoritarian rule and oppresing of people, like with the mongol empire or south america which had the biggest and cruelest slave trade. Ethno nationalism is not ignorance, ignorance is multiculturalism and globalism, you are correct that no nation is "pure" because people move around and wish to assumulate to the core culture, things like multiculturalism and pro immigration elites aren't intrested in assimulation, only replacement and deconstruction of core people's, like israel is to the palastinians, the Euro-americans to the native americans, the han Chinese to tibet, it's realy no diffrent from old Adolf's lebensraum concept. People assimulate or they replace cultures, nations, religions and people's, it's like evolution, except it's not realy natural selection, more artifical selection, unless organic with no forced political supression of natives which is almost never the case.

People intermarry and they assimulate or they colonize and they take over, it's irrational to think this is somehow not the case, in countries with lot of different people the state and the people don't work beter, they clash, just like how the natives clashed with Europeans when they colonized their lands. But unlike the Europeans the migrants from the third world don't bring enlightenment values, this is a rationally observed fact.

It means you don't understand something, like you are doing right here by denying that culture and ethnicity are connected, this is how cultural identity works and you sound like the type of authoritarian who would call others copying other people's culture cultural appropiation, yet deny the existence of a people when it suits you, how can you copy something that's not separate from you? I understand the world and have studied and learned from many diffrent cultures, people's and history that's why I know there are diffrences. Have you ever worked with people from Poland? China? Ghana? Spain? The Netherlands? Would you say they are all the same or that their culture is not linked to their identity? Ask any doctor and they know where people come from, their genetics and therefor their ethnicity matter for medicine. Voting paterns in diffrent demografically and diffrent ethnic groups matter, that's why politicians try to cater to collective populations voting blocks because they are different from others, this is not very hard to understand but it seems like this is some advanced rocket science for you to grasp. I understand how you are ignorant, irrational and dishonest about culture and ethnicity because it's easy to be lazy and it's hard to understand the diffrences between diffrent people, perhaps if you experience the world and other people more you will come to understand my point. No wonder the han Chinese are taking over the world, they have a good understanding of themselves, they have a unified population while here in the west I have to try and explain to you how civilization works.

Btw if you must know I studied laboratory science in biology and chemistry, though I don't think it matter much since some people never finished high school and still made billions or are seen as briljant for their work. I will say this, some cultures are more ethnic than others, jewish people have an ethno religeus identity, while places like India have been more multicultural and multiethnic, though modi there is trying to form a strong hindu identity for his people.

  41.  @StevioGaming1  you might not remember this but after brexit david camoron stepped down as pm, Nigel as winner of the brexit vote was seen by many as the best candidate to lead the trade debates, since you know he has been calling for that for years but he sayd "see ya" so the PM was offered to Boris Johnson who also refused, to which it was offered to Therisa May who then acted as the most incompetent leader of the UK I've ever seen then years later Boris Johnson was elected to the position. British politics is so weird.

Theresa May does not strike me as a good leader, from my perspective it looked like they elected her on purpose to be the fail candidate and hope to push for a second refurendum before the deadline, then when Boris Johnson decided that this time he would actualy run he won rather easily it seemed. Why would Nigel have to join the conservative party if he was already leader (I think he still was, he stepped down a few times I think) of the UKIP party? Or are you telling me he can't be a candidate because he's not a conservative? I can understand that he might lose but after winning brexit you would think he had momentum, I never even heared of Therisa May how she won il never understand, perhaps a easy field? Idk im no expert on british politics but from across the channel here in the Netherlands it looks rather silly and disfunctional.

  51. how would they collapse? they want to leave partly to rejoin the EU, I understand for scotland it would be harder then Northern ireland but the UK right now is kinda collapsing and when december hits those voices of leaving the UK are likely to grow louder if the UK government does not have stable economic growth and fixes their social issues. I fail to see how those that leave would suddenly collapse, unless the UK throws a temper tantrum and demands sanctions and freezes all funds of scotish and irish companies.

  52.  @rickharriss  you say that but like I sayd the EU would be more then willing to keep them afloat if it means gaining more members, esspecialy if it's from the UK, I honestly think the UK would send military forces and reject the refurendum results if they voted to leave because it matters more to the UK then you realise, symbols and show of unity is important if they lose that they lose legitimacy and yes scotland is poorer then England which is exactly why the split would not effect them much, they don't have much to lose.

  53.  @rickharriss  im not talking about the UK somehow being able to stay in the EU, that ship has sailed, wales, northern ireland and scotland by being part of the UK despite having votes largely to stay in the EU will have to accept the changes brexit brings for beter or for worse, the issue is scotland, northern ireland and wales could seek independence from the UK and then apply to EU membership, it would still take years for them to be accepted that's also assuming the UK is going to respect the vote which they likely won't because it would make them look bad. Northern ireland has the easiest way to EU membership they could just rejoin into ireland which is still a member of the EU. Brexit means brexit, but the UK government has independence for England not the rest of the UK, they don't have a choice realy.

  54.  @rickharriss  the whole world has suffered from covid-19, the EU does not have the power to rule over all the Actions of the member states, that's the whole issue, if the EU is to respond in the future it would have to have more power and more of a say on a federal level which many nationstates might not wish to give up, in an attempt to get the best of both worlds, confederate and federate models of organisation, the EU has shown to be disfunctional at this stage to handle these crisis situations, most statistics I see indicate that most of the people and elites in Europe want the EU to remain, only Italy and Sweden I think are against it, the UK was the major eurosceptic nation with them leaving the EU might actualy become stronger, less rich, less powerfull in terms of military short term but long term perhaps stronger, only time will tell for sure.

  65.  @afatpigeon1  but perhaps they don't want to be part of the UK government anymore, they want independence from the UK to make their own trade deals and perhaps join the EU, "they may take our lives but they will never take our FREEDOM!" It just seems kinda hypocritical for the UK to say the EU is anti democratic and tyranical when it respects the brexit vote, while in the UK they don't want refurendum for independence to be even held and seem more focus on abusing their own people then looking out for them but that's just how it looks from my prospective.

  66.  @afatpigeon1  this might be new to you but what politicians say and what actualy happens are often two very diffrent things. Scotland had a vote which at that time as far as I know the idea of a brexit was not on the agenda, the UK was part of the EU for more then 50+ years or more? Then from a vote in which mostly the english voted to leave the EU while the scotish and the northern irish wanted to stay does create a conflict of intrest. Now if brexit works and economic growth continues then I doubt the move to independence will happen in scotland or Northern ireland but if it fails then the scotish and irish would have to potentialy suffer due to the English not their own voters. 6 years things can change a lot demografically just look at London, regardless I think it's fair for them to have another vote, 2022-2025 seems fair to me, after 2020 the full impact of brexit will be felt and within a hear 2021 they might demand for a refurendum and say it takes time to get it done, 2022 seems like a likely year to me if not sooner, it all depends on the results of brexit.
