  5.  @ahmedalsharman  ok, so why was the Ukrainians military only 200,000 strong including reservists and why was it only using Soviet-originated equipment until 2022? The only western supplies gear in the Ukrainian military prior to 2022 were some decommissioned Humvee’s and a tiny amount of small arms. You didn’t see any Western artillery, AFVs, drones, communications gear, or any thing remotely close to what the UAF has after the Russian invasion. Never mind the UAF is 3x the size it was now, then it was during those 8 years. And even then, the UAF isn’t even close to NATO standardization or integration. For the simple fact, Ukraine is not a NATO member , and didn’t even have the ability to join until Russia invaded it last year.

  6.  @ahmedalsharman  maybe google yourself and see that not only Donetsk and Luhansk look great despite “8 years of shelling” and the fact only about 306 civilians died in Donbas between 2014and 2022. Most of those (298) are the people who died in the Malaysian airlines flight 17 shot down by Russian backed -separatists and with a Russian-supplied missile.

  32.  MarcelDaman1957  yet, losing Kherson also got rid of Russias only real threat to Odessa it had left, and it’s only bridgehead to access western Ukraine with. It also doesn’t help that by not defending a city that was supposed to be “Russian forever”, Russia promises and claims have lost all value. The loss of Kherson is probably the biggest reason the west is encouraged to send tanks, AFVs and possibly fighter jets now.
