Mate the last government was introducing racist separatist policies, on top of that the NZ media was censoring social media on these kinds of stories, just be thankful to this new government you got the chance to even comment here, a few months back comments were entirely closed, go back and have a look.
1
Yep, you don't have to go far online to find clearly racist Iwi with dubious agendas like 3 Waters, certainly not all Maori however, most just want to get on with it and leave 1840 in the past where it firmly belongs.
1
He fails to talk about the impact to Farmers which is NZ largest export sector $$, he also failed to talk about how 3 waters was another power grab by racist Maori radical groups. Nothing wrong with making improvement, but leave racist power grabbing groups out of it, and don't cripple NZ's biggest source of income unless you want to live in a poor country
1
The treaty is honored, Maori Ceded sovereignty and in return became British subjects/citizens with all the same protections as the colonist. Here in 2024 Maori have full equal rights and the right to vote.
1
I strongly suspect the new government have had words to the NZ media about censoring social media.
1
You do wonder if the NZ media realise most of their customers (the average Kiwi) do not support racist separatist policies under any circumstances, where is balance for all of these pro separatist support articles.
1
Maori have the same rights as every other Kiwis and the right to vote period here in 2024, this is about stopping racist separatist polices based on twisted interpretation of a tiny 500 word 1840 treaty. Maori clearly ceded sovereignty to the Crown and in return became British subject /Citizens, with all the same protections as the UK colonists.
1
Man you need to find a hobby or something lol
1
yep no one cared except you apparently lol
1
@Chas-te7uz I can see your using a troll account created in 2023, you will need a new one again soon lol
1
@Chas-te7uz Mate you OK?, you seem to have a few issues, actually are you Chinese seen this before?
1
That is inaccurate, NZ sovereign debt fell as a % of GDP during Keys terms post GFC, in fact it the first Jacinda term debt also continued to fall, thats until Covid hit where Labour panicked and had a mad lolly scramble.
1
Maori vote the same as everyone else, its called a fair modern democracy, and and BTW 2/3 leaders of the coalition are Maori , just not "your" type of Maori ah?
1
At least Key utterly ruled out Co Governance and the worst of other racist Policies Labour entertained in the last few years. Sometimes keeping your enemy close is a smart move.
1
Both Winston and David Seymour widely agree on issues relating to Maori. Both want to move away from racist separatist Arthied like policies created mainly in the last few years. Act and NZF main goals are practically identical.
1
Well notice TVNZ YouTube comments are turned back on literally ONE day after Hipkins, National and Winston took office lol. You may be wondering why did TVNZ limit your fee speech for the last 3 ish years, that's a very good question I am glad you asked !
1
Well notice TVNZ YouTube comments are turned back on one literally one day after Winston took office lol, I am sure there was no bribe, nothing to see here :)
1
Well notice TVNZ YouTube comments are turned back on one literally one day after Winston & that "nob" took office lol. I never understood why the mainstream media were so soft on Labour even a few clearly racist policies, NOW I fully understand.
1

1
@kiwisrule6757 Its a simple observation mate, not my opinion.
1
If racist agendas that give water control to a certain ethnic groups had not come into it, 3 Waters may have stood a chance at getting over the line. 3 Waters was NEVER about improving water quality.
1
@dufus7396 Your comment is off topic, we are talking about the NZ media getting paid off. You will l notice TVNZ YouTube comments are turned back on literally ONE day after Hipkins, National and Winston took office lol. You may be wondering why did TVNZ limit your free speech for the last 3 ish years, that's a very good question I am glad you asked !
1
Yep everyone I know has been commenting on the bizarre behavior of the mainstream NZ media over the last few years completely failing to be even remotely politically objective, now I understand why. Oh and you will note TVNZ YoutTube comments are back on, only one day the new government took office, what a coincidence !
1
We are exposed to a LOT of propaganda like "operation Iraqi freedom" remember that one lol, however the Ukraine conflict is a good old fashion land grab. I like a lot about Russia but they are at fault here.
1
TVNZ's Funding $$ is coming under scrutiny and further heads are about to roll, these so called journalists are now panicking as they struggle to hide what has been going on with free speech in NZ for the last 6 years.
1
You do realise "Hamas" is a political group made and voted in by Palestinians right?, they don't come from the country of "Hamas" they are also the people.
1
More biased BS reporting, hurry up Winston defund these assholes.
1
They disable any comments where they might be called out, such as supporting racist separatist agendas. Winston will deal with this lot in the coming year :P
1
Like most Western countries there is no other choice, we have a rapidly ageing population and the largest the Boomers have started to retire requiring pensions. I don't think many people have fully comprehended how much of a problem this is.
1
@elraxomcgoutfoot9625 Not all chiefs even signed the treaty so that's true, but most did. Most Maori tribes (not all) started observing British rule of law after the signing as expected. These interpretation arguments about the treaty only arose in the late 1960's ironically around the time of a certain moment in the US. Maori knew what they signed as it was a good deal going up against the 1800's British empire.
1
@Kult365 Those number are correct, 550 signed the Te Reo version translated by UK missionaries from the English version. Most tribes (actually not all) then started to observe British rule of law as expected. You are brain washed mate, I am just giving you the historical facts.
1
@Kult365 Mate they were not fighting settlers, they were fighting thousands of well trained, heavily armed British troops. You know the world empire that conquered many lands, arguably the largest Empire in recorded history. There is a reason Maori singed.
1
@Kult365 What you said is half correct, the British wrote the treaty (offer) as it was a long war of attrition and Maori put up strong resistance, but frankly NZ was not high priority. Maori knew the UK had massive resources and could not win long term, so accepted the offer to become British subjects (citizens) as per the treaty. Keep in mind Maori also knew about Aboriginal treatment in Australia.
1
@Kult365 don't double post, gives away you are annoyed.
1
@elraxomcgoutfoot9625 Missionaries explained to Maori Chiefs what they were signing. Secondly Maori started to observe British rule of law follwoing the signing, actions speak louder than words mate. All this interpretation BS only arose 100+ years later in the late 1960's.
1
@NZGamePlay Like it or not NZ got gifted dumb luck, as English became the international Business language. Japanese, Chinese and other Europeans etc all have to learn English as a 2nd language to be successful in international business. Teo Reo is realistically valuable from a cultural perspective, and yes Teo Reo should only ever be optional.
1
@NZGamePlay Well yea its possible. It would be amazing if the entire planet spoke just one language, one less thing to fight about. As for today my comment stands.
1
So these people were not seeking racist divide and I support their cause, unlike several racist Maori racial groups of today that seek racists division.
1
@elraxomcgoutfoot9625 The Te Reo version is HALF the size of the English version, its tiny at only 500 words. In it Maori ceded sovereignty to the Crown, there is only vague references to land ownership as an example. . Both version were written by UK missioners as Maori had no written language. Most importantly missionaries spent a huge amount of time with Chiefs explaining what the deal was. Missionaries were sympathetic to Maori, and they knew Maori becoming Crown subjects (Citizens) was a great deal. Context is everything.
1
New government mate, TVNZ obviously directed to stop censoring social media, are you seriously wanting to be censored lol?
1
@elraxomcgoutfoot9625 The first Maori repressive to parliament was in the 1860's, there was no huge Maori protest he was outnumber 36-1 (37 in total), as Maori knew exactly what they signed. Actions speak louder than words, all this interpretation BS only got raised in the late 1960's onwards.
1
@ManaBlack208 its all getting sorted mate, nothing to worry about.
1
@ManaBlack208 Sure is, where Maori clearly Ceded Sovereignty to the Crown, its fully sunk in mate.
1
@JohnSmith-vs2ri yea but private cars are probably 1000x more common than trucks, so there is that :P
1
Yep Lithium batteries are not the answer, also too unstable when damaged and horrifically hard to extinguish when on fire.
1
Funny how TVNZ only leaves the comments on with videos that are not important to NZ, its almost like they are too scared to be called out on the reporting of the important issues. Defund TVNZ they no longer have the interests of the "average Kiwi" at heart.
1
@marilynschmidt6400 Australia has even MORE taxes, for a start NDIS and Medicare come straight out of your salary on top of normal PAYE tax, then there is capital gains tax, none of these taxes exist in NZ.
1
@helpahhh Well don't name government departments with names hardly anyone can remember and that causes confusions, be sensible with naming. I agree Labour wasted a lot of money here, but again it runs a lot deep than just using Te Reo names.
