Christians today have the same Scripture the early church had from the Torah or Old Testament of Moses and the Prohphets who spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost to the New Testament words of Jesus, very God and very man and the Apostles. There are now literal trnslations which are true to Christian doctrine and there are "dynamic equivalents" beginning with the NIV by Eugene Ndia, which should be regarded as saying what the translator wants people to believe. Literal translations are the 1599 Geneva, the 1611 King James Version (KJB) and its revisions, the American Standard Bible (ASB), the New American Standard Bible (NASB), and the English Standard Version (ESV), none of which deviate from Christian doctrine of the Trinity, original sin, promised Redeemer, Advent of the Messiah, resurrection of Jesus from the dead, and life everlasting.

As for right now, foreign wars of aggression mean we are the attackers and as bad as anything ever said about the Nazis, the Bolsheviks, the Soviets invading Hungary and Czechoslovakia, the Soviet war in Afghanistan, etc. The U.S. military has attacked and killed over a million helpless innocent civilians in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, and who knows where else. Saddam Hussein, Muammar Gaddafi, Bashar Al Assad, Milosovic, and their people did absolutely nothing to Americans and neither have the Iranians, but for sure the US military has done a lot to them. If you had a brain, you would ask yourself who benefits from all this murder and destruction of sovereign states? Dead soldiers could not care less what the WBC says or does. However, waging wars against civilians and more or less defenseless peoples does not glorify God.

"Sin" is a word the free will advocates - the late Billy Graham for example and there are hundreds like him - like to use without ever defining the word. Sin means to disobey and dishonor God. Nothing is good or evil, right or wrong, except as defined by God. Therefore the answer is that God did not create man evil but God did give Adam the freedom to disobey. Adam chose to believe he could be equal to God. Stupid or what! Satan also believed he could be equal to God. I say create your own universe and living things: If you think you can be equal to God at least take that step to prove it. Bad choice for Adam and all of us. Eve hadn't been warned by God but Adam had been and failed to properly inform Eve, then Adam did not protect Eve from Satan's lies, so Eve was deceived but Adam consciously sinned and is responsible for corrupting the then-perfect universe. It affected all of us genetically so that we age and die. It affected the once perfect earth and universe and the animals and plants. Christians call that original sin committed by Adam, our federal head. We do not have to disobey and dishonor God, but being born of man and woman is like falling into a pile of shit - our fallen world - (which can still feed far more people than now exist and give us amazing sunrises and sunsets to view) because we are conceived in iniquity. We are responsible for our thoughts from the moment God creates our souls. Eve must have been devastated by being part of the chain of events that led Adam to sin. Eve was responsible for advising Adam - she was created to be his helpmate - so God's promise to her of The Redeemer was the greatest comfort of all time: God would make things right again. That is why Jesus' propitiatory sacrifice was necessary and at the same time the greatest possible manifestation of love because God's standard is perfect obedience or his wrath eternally.
