  1. The FG-42 is not the most tactful choice of a rifle for a French Resistance fighter. Given that the most likely time for the French Resistance to encounter the FG-42 was in the Battle of Vercors. Used by German special forces ( Fallschirm-Kampfgruppe Schäfer). The Resistanced were defeated, with heavy losses and c.200 civilian casualties.
