  1. I think once one gets past all the hippy nonsense, people are generally concerned over the lack of safety standards during the production and storage of these vaccines. It's when someone's kid gets affected negatively, then it is picked up in the press. Sure, making it sound so simple [as it is] is...boring. But still....

  3. Also, the pastoral lifestyle is cemented in their having moved into an agrarian lifestyle. The mere "seeing how the outside world works" and making a decision to be Amish seems to be very akin to the concept of a "rite of passage" (I mean, literally, because there is an obvious fact that it's much alike the selfsame concept, in and of itself), but I mean the particular rite where the psychopomp (shaman) and "boys" alike, have their relative treks through the wilderness outside of the village- in order to test themselves and become a man (and/or shaman). It sounds almost exactly the same, in theory.
