@ianwatson5605 The working class has no saviors but itself. Trotsky gave his life for the cause of the working class. He speaks to and for me.

@jaquino451 No such thing as a free market. A market is always supervised with rules by a governing body. Capitalist requires a centralized nation state power to govern trade and production. The declining rate of profits ultimately require guarantees of the "too big to fail" companies profits for the ruling class of do nothing investors by the central bank.
11
Trotsky's writings are still published by Pathfinder Press.
10
@ivrishcon-abarth38 When Fidel was imprisoned he used the time to read many political books written by numerous authors. .
6
@kevindorland738 The guards stand on the US side of the fence at the US Guantanamo Naval, Prison and Torture base. End the US Blockade of Cuba.
5
That's a lie. Kaplan was an SR and shot by the Cheka and Lenin left a "Testament" where he wanted Stalin removed from his post as General Secretary.
5
@stanislav7920 Not only was Trotsky a revolutionary leader but an important Marxist theorist. He considered his activity after deportation to be just as important as his role in the revolution. Stalin was the leader of defeats right up to the outbreak of War with Hitler and German Imperialism. Stalin is still better known than Trotsky in the United States because he is the object of so much anti communist hysteria.
5
@stanislav7920 I don't see how we have ever left the Imperialist stage of history. Trotsky wanted global socialist revolution. Isn't that the natural conclusion that any real Marxist must come to for after the end of capitalism which always develops in different countries by nation states that then trade on a world market. Socialist revolution should spread across the world. To defend the USSR you must be a revolutionary in your own nation state otherwise you are just a diplomat for the Soviet Union. Lenin and Trotsky viewed the Soviet Union and Soviet Republics as holding actions not a new country that would engage in any long term peaceful coexistence with the capitalist powers. That's why the looked to destroy the Imperialist relationship in the Imperialists own colonies. I think its is obvious to all that Stalin's theory failed. Stalin's decision to use the Communist International as a cheer squad for Democratic Imperialism during the second world war was just as treacherous as the Rightist Social Democracy in the first world war then Lenin had so thoroughly exposed as political bankrupt in the Imperialist era. You can find Trotsky at Pathfinder Press.

Trotsky is more alive today as Stalin and Mao fade into their graves.
5
@evieluvsmarx He was armed and supported by Jimmy "Human Rights" Carter.
5
@jamesfahy3963 He had the job of organizing the Red Army and defeating 14 Imperialist Armies who invaded the new Soviet Republic including the US/UK.
4
@stevehicks8944 No one is forced from their home by a landlord. All have the opportunity to learn without tution. The revolution brought the education and literacy of the peasants so they could no longer be fooled. The revolution also brought Doctors to the countryside. No one was told that they could not be an administrator rather they were told they could no longer use their position to exploit others. The Cuban revolution has never had a problem educating enough people. The Latin American school of medicine has 10,000 students being educated at no direct cost to the student.
4
@louisecorchevolle9241 The Soviets were councils of workers, soldiers and peasants. The provisional government was just that provisional. A situation of dual power. Not a coup.
4
@stanislav7920 You haven't read any of Trotsky's criticism of The Communist International after Lenin. The Wiemar Republic where the largest party in the Communist International went down to defeat because of Stalin's policy of equating the Social Democratic workers with the fascists calling them Social fascists. Then the swing from the ultra left to the right with the popular fronts that included the bourgeois liberals who paved the way for fascism. This is how Stalin ended up supporting the Democratic Imperialist after the non aggression pact with Hitler failed. Stalin got a lot of good bourgeois press until the Democratic Imperialist had no more need for him after the defeat of Germany and Japan.
4
@juliogarcia7670 We still publish The Militant and Trotsky's Collected Works at Pathfinder Press.
4
@tajmajal4197 Fourteen Imperialist armies along with czarist troops wage a war against the new Socialist Republic including the US/UK. Any war waged to defend the working class and poor farmers is a just war against the armies of the property owners.
3
He didn't break in he became acquainted with Trotsky through a female comrade.
2
@greenbongos Does a clear blue sky prevent a mechanical failure on a small aircraft?
2
Never happened in Cuba.
2
@EmpowerSportsMagazine We still publish The Militant and Trotsky's works. Pathfinder Press.
2
@gamingwithmatt3598 Ya go play your games elsewhere.
2
@weirdshibainu The American Stalinist were strike breakers during the Second Imperialist War. When the war was over they declared the end of the class struggle and permanent victory of the Soviet union. In a few years they'd be doing 5 year stretches in the federal Pen. Trotsky said the Stalin was incapable of abstract thought.
2
@Larry_Sycamore Capitalism is in world wide decline including in the advanced capitalist countries.
2
@denissullivan5035 Pol Pot ended up being supported by President Jimmy "Human Rights" Carter. Fidel died as a Communist and has a legacy that continues.
1
@zhoubaidinh403 Trotsky would lead the left opposition to what would become the Stalinist bureaucracy. It was Stalin who would demonize him into an Arch Enemy of the people. Trotsky was falsely accused of being an agent of Hitler and Imperialism. Trotsky had been expelled from the Soviet Union and would land in the only country that would accept him as a political refugee the country of Mexico.
1
@markhuddle889 He was a bureaucratic leader like his friend Stalin. He promoted a cult of personality of infallibility.
1
@up2me967 Why don't you go back into the closet with that Klan robe and policeman's badge.
1
@koalabear1984 The communist movement split with the death of Lenin and Trotsky continued the communist leadership until Fidel Castro came along and revitalized the movement with the Cuban revolution. The Stalinist eventually did what they accused the Trotskyist of and returned both the Soviet Union and China back to capitalism. In Cuba despite their isolation they continue the revolutionary leadership in the world today begun by Fidel Castro and Che Guevara. They see themselves as part of an international struggle for justice and socialism.
1
@Pumpkinprohousehold Mao was a Stalinist NOT a fascist like Pinochet or Franco. He came to power on the post war anti colonial revolution. The Stalinist despite their counter revolutionary nature are part of the labor movement just as the Social Democrats are. Stalin launched similar campaigns in the 1930's against opposition. Attacking people because of their past in efforts to prevent the rise of a "nascent bourgeois" is exactly what lead to the end of the Soviet Union and China as workers states. In Cuba they did not engage in such stupidity and therefore they didn't wind up like China or the Soviet Union. Instead they publicly and honestly discuss problems and mistakes rather than punish scapegoats with "mass movements".
1
@Pumpkinprohousehold Its going nowhere because it wholly based upon peasant farmers instead of the urban workers with peasants as allies. If you read Mao on New Democracy then your going to be looking to a progressive national bourgeois which is not possible in the age of Imperialism. Mao himself never had a national Bourgeois he could rely on and his followers had to create one just like Yeltsin and Putin did. Maoist were slaughtered in Indonesia and Shining Path in Peru achieved nothing but prison cells. Mao's guerrilla war tactic was possible in a large overwhelmingly poor peasant country dominated by warlords and a weak feudalist/capitalist regime dominated by Western Imperialism. In the Imperialist era only the working class is truly revolutionary and only a revolutionary party with an internationalist program can lead them and the small farmers to conquer political power. .
1
The American Bourgeois Democratic Police show no such pacifism. Peace Prizes go to such US Imperialist Bourgeois war mongers like Henry Kissinger and Barak Obama. Le Duc Tho to his ever lasting credit never accepted his from the Democratic Socialist "Imperialist" Norway.
1
Cardboard casket We will bury you!!! Trotsky paper The Militant is still published plus we've been openly in Cuba and selling books by Trotsky in Cuba.
1
@greenbongos Yor full of Yankee lies. Camilo's plane disappeared over water. He arrested the traitor Huber Matos.
1
@greenbongos Well than it should have either landed or crashed? Hard to hide a crashed plane same with one that landed. You realize planes don't have to fly in a straight line. Flying over water has he advantage that you can't be easily shot down without first seeing the possible source. There has been lots of speculation over the Kennedy assassination also that's why its called conspiracy theory. At the end of the day that all you have here also. Fidel was clearly leader of the 26th of July movement. No reason to believe your theories outside of your hatred for Fidel and communism.
1
@greenbongos Batista had been defeated but the American Imperialist and their CIA had not given up. According to what I read the plane was flying at night. I know how it is. You just can accept that the plane was lost over water and now it means a big conspiracy must have taken place. Lots of people don't accept that Oswald acted alone but no one else has been shown to be responsible. I don't now where it went to and neither do you. Most likely it went down in water all you have is a hatred of Fidel and communism as your evidence.
1
That would be nice if only the capitalists didn't send fascist bands to defeat the trade unions.
1
@MoCsomeone You have to have a workers state after the revolution to defend the gains from the capitalist states and fascist bandits. Lenin is most noted for his concept of a disciplined party of worker bolsheviks, his analysis of Imperialism, and his ideas of national self determination for the colonial nations.
1
@helenegan1079 Just more slanders and bullshit.
1
@peaceleader7315 Pol Pot was armed and supported by Jimmy "Human Rights" Carter as a way to punish Vietnam.
1
@cyborgchicken3502 That's not true since he left behind the nucleus of a second Bolshevik party in the US (Socialist Workers Party) that overtook the Stalinist CP and Fidel Castro along with Che Guevara lead the Cuban revolution that did NOT take a course of Stalinist murder purges and continues today. .
1
@HyBr1dRaNg3r Lenin methods of politics were not the same as those of Stalin. For Lenin what was required was patient explanation and discussion followed by a vote if needed. For Stalin it was the claim of infallibility of his leadership and the widespread use censorship. .It was Lenin who first called for the removal of Stalin from his post as General Secratary followed by Trotsky.
1
@morrisbrown2043 Correct and the dissenters in Cuba today are organized out of the US Embassy and by those who hate the revolution and want back their power from Miami. People like Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and Robert Menendez weren't even born in Cuba. More people have "fled" Puerto Rico a nearby US Colony with a smaller population than Cuba.
1
@MoCsomeone The Stalinist's became a consevative bureaucratic murder machine ruling over the Soviet Workers State. Cuba never had the purges or forced collectivization. If the working class doesn't develop a leadership before a revolution breaks out than the revolutionary tide will decline and capitalism or even worse fascism will win the day. The stakes are high as Capitalism's decline drives the class struggle and the ruling class will discard Bourgeois Democracy for fascism.
1
@gamingwithmatt3598 If I give you the benefit of the doubt and your not just out right lying and repeating propaganda this is what I would say. Most likely all you only know how to think metaphysically and not dialectically. You don't understand what's going on because you can't think outside of the box as the popular saying goes. You don't realize we live in a world economy that is based in finance capitalism and Imperialism and that period of history is coming to an end because of the contradictions contained within that system of production. Instead you look about and say well I live a good life and I certainly wouldn't like to live their life but and you think you have lots of choices like the cereal brands in the grocery store when you don't. You don't yet understand why the Cuban worker and farmer have taken the path they have so you assume that they must all have a gun pointed in their back or that they are too stupid to realize what capitalism and its markets have created. You forget that people have to create things and that your just as much a part of the nature as es the rest of nature. You don't understand economics at all so instead you rely on the typical nonsense and propaganda that plays in the media the same way you are sold a commodity.
1
@miniflem1 The Militant is still published Today.
1
Yep the betrayal of Grenada revolution with the murder of Maurice Bishop opened the door for the invasion. It's documented in the Second Assassination of Marcie Bishop.
1
@Larry_Sycamore Did you move out of your bedroom into the basement?
1
@narcosniper78 Why should I listen or answer someone who uses your screen name?
1
@narcosniper78 Do you fancy yourself as some kind of "action cop hero" killing bad "narcos" with a single shot to the head?
1
@narcosniper78 Well than I wouldn't use it as a screen name then because it certainly gives the impression you are police sniper who shoots first and asks questions later.
