  1. Canada, as far as I can tell, lives and dies by "consensus" and there's considerable tacit pressure to join it. As opposed to down here in the United States, where dissenters get openly mocked and called stupid . . . and now seditious and criminal, too.

  5.  @growhuntkillcaneat  From what I have heard, immigration laws up there are much more stringent than down here. Have they loosened things up? (I almost feel like a junior Canadian, myself, living a short drive from Ontario and Manitoba. Haven't been there in a while, but boy, do Canadian coins still turn up in handfuls of change, at least. ;-)
