  3. He always did look bizarre. During the 2004 campaign, everyone noticed when he got dosed with botox, because his forehead, which had been as wrinkled as a shar-pei's, suddenly became smooth and immobile. But recently, he's been doing more radical stuff to his face. Taxidermy, maybe.

  4. So, did we mention Kerry's recent freelancing in Iran? How has he been able to get away with that? Flashback: I once had John Kerry on my lap. I was at a Democratic rally in July of 2004--for Kerry, the day before he picked groupie-banging John Edwards as his running mate. I was sitting on a big bale of hay, breastfeeding my baby, and Dave Obey climbs up and over my legs on his way to play with the band. Before I could even react, somebody is pulling John Kerry over, too. Crawling right over my lap--and me with a breast out. Bony old fellow. I decided to get out of there, and my last impression of Kerry was of him standing on a hay wagon, pretending to play rhythm guitar to "This Land is Your Land," and looking like a big, craggy dork. I don't have any excuse for going to his rally, except that I could never bring myself to vote for Dubya Bush.
