  1.  John Pruett  Pretty normal length of time for a Depression-era farm wife. And my own son absolutely refused to eat anything until he was 15 months old, when he suddenly decided to grab a dill pickle off of my plate. Breastfeeding for the first 2 years is normal and desirable.

  5. Well, I did, and it was great, but shortly thereafter I went through menopause. As my husband says, my ovaries picked the right time to shut down production.

  6. They all have polycystic ovaries from being so hefty. They don't have menses anymore; all that energy gets put into growing chest hair and whiskers.

  7. It is scarcely messier than a tampon, but it is necessary to wash it and your hands in hot, soapy water. It is a little tricky to put it in right, but once it's in, there is absolutely no mess.

  9.  @pearlady22  I started a support group in 2000 for women with müllerian anomalies, and many of them had septate vaginas, so tampons would only work 50%. So those double-barreled women found stuff on their own that would work! Having a septate vagina was not my big problem; it was having a septate uterine cavity that kept kicking out babies until I had a surgeon correct it.
