In the early 90’s, I had a Buick grand National with a reprogrammed eprom “chips” that you simply plugged into the ecu When I ran 23 lb boost and 104 octane Sunoco unleaded fuel…I plugged in the 105 octane chip. Very very fast

I always thought higher pressure necessitated higher voltage/amperage I never thought that that greater air/fuel density created a higher insulation condition

You’re correct...It’s not a transmission. It’s gear reduction, much like the gear set in the differential Though Im not sure what the definitional difference is between gear reduction and transmission

Back in the day when I had a grand National, before E85. Guys would inject alcohol. If I remember correctly, There was a recommended distance between the spray and throttle body.
