  1. Flat-plane is your NORMAL Inline 4 Crank . All 4 fire Separately and evenly . A Two-stroke Inline 4 will fire them in Pairs . Like a TZ-700 . The R-1 , with its Cross-plane Crank , is a " Big Bang " engine . Two Cylinders fire 90 degrees apart . Then 270 later , the OTHER two do the same . Leaves a slight Dead Spot each revolution that helps maintain Traction .

The V-8 sound you are used to is , Yes , much lower Revs and usually with a Cross-Plane Crank . 90 degree throws . I think that is using a Flat-Plane Crank . 180 degree throws . Sounds somewhat like a V-8 Cosworth F1 Engine .

  9. I think the Only European Truck maker that still makes a Conventional Prime-Mover is Volvo , with their NL/NH series . Scania phased out their Bonneted Trucks a while back . I would love to hear if that is still correct in the Comments . Australian here . We have overall vehicle Length constraints here , but you can use WHATEVER you want here .   11. I think that was a V-6 Commo . The 8's are faster than that . I think most people would motor along there at between 140 and 160 km/h . 85 -100 mph . Above 160 vehicle dynamics change because of Aerodynamics . Needs to be LEARNED to be safe . car gets twitchy . I've gone 230 in a Car and 260 on a Bike . Professional Semi Driver , so better than most , and those speeds were BOTH too high to maintain without Dying .
