A great interview, always good to hear Noam speak.

Thank goodness that we have a man who tells it like it is, who has a wise oversight and global view of matters.

Subscribed to this channel for Andrew Marr. However the New Statesman has been doing a great job with balanced and interesting content without submitting to the sensationalist approach taken by others. Superb!
29
Brilliant analysis and comment, thank you.
27
All the best Anoosh!
27
Most informative and intelligent commentary, as always, sir. As an American I love listening to you and the likes of James O'Brien, etc. You folks give me much hope for your country. 😊
27
Two absolute heroes of comedy (what a treat!) and (who knew?! Do they?) they share exactly the same birthday -- one year apart?! 😀
27
Chomsky is one of the most honest, brightest and most brilliant persons I can imagine.
27
Some intelligent discourse on YT at last.
27
Very good video. The people from The New Statesman have presented a good program during the Conservative government's term. 😊
26
Outstanding guest. One of the best New Statesman podcasts. Another area of concern would be Life Assurance companies. One pays each month over years but never have contact, even when your policy is sold to another provider. Never ever buy a policy, put the premium into a savings account or ISA.

I deeply appreciate you presenting and thinking about Goya's "Black Paintings," "Caprices," and "The Disasters of War." His stark facing of what we are at our worst remains timeless because, to our shame, we actually don't look and pay attention as Goya did. If we were too, what horrors we might pause before committing. Again, thank you, for your directness in this presentation. Twice I've been to the Prado, and each time the works of Goya were my standout experience.

A well grounded podcast 👍
23
@NewStatesman They are a bit annoying in short videos.
23
Brilliantly open, challenging, matter-of-fact and looking for balance. Best watch and listen of my week so far.
22
We need you guys more than ever. What a star to have Jon Stewart here. What a bril team with Iannucci and that durable sense of British ‘fairness’ that Sam reflected, up that has now seen off Truss and others…
22
Best tribute, Andrew.
22
Excellent as always, Andrew. Ever thought provoking and challenging.
22
Spot on Andrew.
22
Too short. I could listen to Marr for an hour or more.
22
Good piece, but without mentioning the privatization of the health service, the shifting to agency staff, I can't call it a great piece. The money's already there, if so much wasn't being syphoned off to profits for the few, rather than society as a whole.
21
Excellent, EXCELLENT , analysis, please do make the Professor a regular contributor, he is an outstanding teacher.
21
What an interesting knowledgeable man, so natural, I wish my professors were so interesting, plus he has a personality 👍👍
21
Seeing some old faces who were in power back in 2010 coming back into number 10 almost made me cry. Ed Miliband in particular. I absolutely love it!
21
This is almost as funny as The Thick of It! Thanks as ever to Anoosh and Armando, and to your guests Mae Dobbs and James Ball. Great - dare I say "Adult" - discussion. Has quickly become one of my favourite things on YouTube. Thank you.
20
Nice to have Andrew Marr back on New statesman YouTube channel videos
20
Rory is hugely impressive - he ought to join Labour because the Tories are beyond redemption.
20
Well said. Brilliantly articulated. I'm in total agreement on all counts. Keep the (non) faith.
19
Good reporting with a nice cadence. Keep it up.
19
Love this guy. All the posts i have seen him on i have agreed with him.
18
Thanks for the facts, Noam. And for your insight and thoughts on those facts. You are one magnanimus gentleman and scholar. I admire you greatly.
18
We all owe a debt of gratitude to Noam in his golden years and should aspire to continue to embody his tireless struggle to promote justice, peace and survival for humanity
18
Thanks for such an extraordinary objective and balanced view.
18
Meaningful discourse
17
Thanks for having Noam on
17
The notion of repeating a vote being antidemocratic is a strange feature of British political discourse. Over here in California we revisit issues on ballot initiatives all the time. Sometimes majority opinion changes. We deal with that over here by scheduling ballot initiative elections, by imposing requirements for issues to get onto the ballot, by requiring supermajorities in some issues, and by subjecting ballot initiatives to judicial review.
17
Wonderful Andrew… thank you.
17
Congrats Anoosh. All the best to yourself and your family.
17
@NewStatesman yes, why show us what we are going to watch before we watch it? just let us watch it.
17
That's THE most sensible thing anyone has said to me about taxation in the last twenty years. Shame it will require someone with genuine leadership skills to enact it and so I suspect we shall continue on a slow managed decline for the next twenty years.
17
Great interview, as more I listen to Mr. Noam Chomsky more I realize that humanity needs a resource-based economy written by Jacque Fresco.
16
Words of wisdom and truth from a truly wise man but will the corrupt politicians listen
16
Thank you Noam Chomsky
16
A fascinating interview…..It would be good to know more about his closest advisers as I’m sure they will have an enormous part to play.
16
We've got to be careful of hate propaganda towards others just because of nationality, that goes for all nations, don't let pride cloud good judgement.
16
Exactly! Bravo, Andrew Marr!
16
Thanks Andrew, that's left me with some hope!
15
As always Andrew, your insights into the nation and its politics, are always worthy of attention! Well I certainly believe so!
15
Fascinating interview, thanks New Statesman!
15
