To be honest, I was rather disappointed when Anousha (spelling?) stopped being the main presenter of TNS videos and Hannah took over but I guess it was just a dislike of change, now I can't imagine anyone else hosting these (but I do hope to see Anousha again now and then) :) Incidentally, isn't it probable that the turn-out was so low because many traditional Tory voters couldn't bring themselves to vote Tory? As far as Labour is concerned, this was probably a good thing.

Andrew Marr for PM

The NS must choose this issue as it's 'crusade' and keep banging on about it until the 'public' and other media outlets become so aware it becomes the national topic. Please don't allow it to become just an interesting talking point and let our politicians off the hook from taking any meaningful action.

I think that's a really valid point you made about the markets. Consumerism, the markets, trends - all of that wil trump far right politics or any politics come to that. At least in the UK.

Thank god the video didn't end with "please like and subscribe" lol

Thank-you Andrew for a brilliant explanation of the new leader - very enlightening

He was really interesting ! Great teacher

Factual and insightful. The current world order is unsteady and may be over soon. I agree that a strong government is needed to get the people to work hard during difficult times and abolish sense of entitlement and exceptionalism. Productivity needs to improve if Britain is to remain in G7.

Too many sensible suggestions. It'll never happen.

By God that was raw

great talk, just one thing you missed, the christian right, they want the country to be ruled by the bible, and the right use that to bash the left, as if there aren't religious people on the left
1
Tremendous piece, and I believe spot on with the analysis laid out.
1
A sharp and interesting analysis of 'current' issues. Factual, pithy and cuts through the noise.
1
Andrew, I'm completely in lock-step with your comments.

This is why I'm subbed to this channel. Facts, intelligent analysis, and getting to real and important problems instead of cultural wars or falling into the trap of talking about what the mainstream media are instructed to talk about.

Great presentation.

The British people have not yet realized their country is in decline. Many British citizens still think of themselves as extraordinary. ( empire days) Take away the financial industry and the UK is a relatively poor country. The UK needs to align with one of the 3 largest economies. EU , China or U.S. and agree the UK will be rule takers.

Brilliant as usual

I love Andrew Marr โค

Very well said amaizing in fact

Well done New Statesman!

It is interesting to note that the two comparison countries have proportional representation. When corruption takes hold, a minor party can pull the rug from under a collation government. The English electorate is too blinkered by ancient glories to see that corruption and first pas the post voting go hand in glove.

Brilliant!

I learned something today, as a British ๐
