Why does your YouTube channel have so few subscribers ? You seem like a solid guy. co-founder of Soylent. Raised more than $100 million. I like this video and i'm going to subscribe. What are your thoughts on bitcoin, altcoins, defi and decentralization in the short term and long term ?

Kind of reminds me of No Man's Sky: crazy hype; bombed on launch; but now the game has redeemed itself (through many updates) and is widely lauded. If CD Projekt can do the same, fix the bugs, and expand the game over time, they could have another enduring franchise. I'd imagine their ambition is to be like GTA. Meanwhile, let me check the CD Projekt stock price. Hmm...

5 hour gang wooh. But seriously great video dude you’re so underrated.

This deserves at least a million views.

I was expecting you to talk about his tweets or how he defied covid orders when I clicked on this video. However I was amazed cause you presented things that are not in mainstream media and I was not disappointed by what you presented. I used to think his tweets were cringe now I'm starting to think he is a guy who enjoys controversy or he likes to be a contrarian type. Overall I like Elon and his message. His main message is that you can take huge risks outside of the software industry like rockets and cars and it can pay off. I think this inspires more people to do engineering. Especially now that in 2020 and 2021 it looks like we are having a huge electric vehicle bubble with companies like tesla and nio having their stock values multiply, more people will want to enter these types of fields.

This was a great video! Definitely going to read that book.

Loving all these "The Prestige" references :) The video ended on a highly inspirational note. And the symphony of the music alongside was just magical!

Awesome. Makes me want to shoot more creative b roll

Great video and great company. Traba is building culture that matches their product which makes sense. I love his hustle and execution.

I was looking forward to this video since it was teased in a previous video and I'm glad that you haven't left months between teasing it and releasing it. As a 30 year old tech nerd from the UK, who can remember Concorde being decommissioned, I'm glad that supersonic passenger aircraft is being brought back.

4 very different outcomes! Well made, and interesting video!

This analysis is top notch. Even top new channels fails to do so. Great Work.

Modern AI/ML (since 2015) is truly the closest thing to magic that we have.

Loved the music in background. Especially when you were describing the book, it was just perfect. Was it the same throughout? Can you share the link if it's publicly available?

@JohnCooganPlus Seriously awesome content, got me wrapped like listening to an Adam Curtis documentary. I would add that when you add your own experience you need to re-introduce yourself as in future it might not be startup people who know who you are. The youtuber who recently sky rocketed to fame mrballen was a navy seal and when that experience is relevant he always prefaces it before he mentions it. It may even be a good idea to mention it the beginning of the video. Glad you are iterating so view my input as one data point.

This video is so well-made! Did you animate all this?
4
Thank you for making this! Such a great video!

Thanks again for sharing. I really enjoy how much content you get through in 7min videos compared to the majority of 12 min ones these days on YouTube. We've done the ad videos with an small video shop and the do it yourself stuff for walkthroughs. This ad note: the upside down flip during unboxing gets "a bit" disorienting, although eye-catching too.

These Videos take so long to come out, but are worth EVERY SECOND!!!! Keep it Up

Totally loved it John. Very engaging from start to end. Knew nothing about Chamath before I watched this! He has some very interesting ideas. Like Andrew Yang. Agree with his point of letting the policy makers do the work. I think I'd support him if I were in California.

Wow this video was incredibly enlightening!👍

man peter thiel is such a strange guy. He is one of the most interesting figures especially his contrarian thinking. Here's an interesting historical fact: When standard oil was broken up for having a monopoly on the oil market into chevron, exxon, etc... The market value of each individual company rose more than if they were combined into a single entity. Rockefellers net worth multiplied 5x and he became the richest man on earth. Imagine if today amazon is broken up into AWS, online shopping, twitch, Alexa and the value of each company on its own individually surpasses amazons 1.5 trillion marketcap. That would make Bezos a trillionaire and people would go crazy (especially Bernie Sanders would lose his mind). Do you think this is a possibility in 2021? That if we break up big tech it will backfire and make the shareholders more wealthy ?

fascinating story, thanks for breaking it down.

Thanks, John. I really enjoy how you take on these stories that I have "heard 100 times" over the last few weeks and tell them in a different way, with a different perspective, and deeper background into the person and history.

John thanks for informing us keep uploading

Great coverage of product development and launch! As a career product manager, I agree on all counts.

Interoperability is key to many visions for the Meta verses. I have a hard time seeing how it takes over and break the walled gardens. Do you think it will come from the big companies? I.e. Will companies like EA see a reason to open up fortnight assets? It seems to me that when you have a huge success you want to keep it walled, and when you are small you can be open. So unless being open helps you get big I don't see the interoperability taking off. It is the network effect paradox - if it only works at scale it will never get to scale.
