  17. Back in the days, there were a lot less "distractions", no whatsapp, no FB, no YT, no IG and of course no pornhub, it was much more easier to get into that zone, I admire the "current generation" that is able to focus and dig deep to get into that zone.

  19. This story is pretty amazing - mostly inspirational and a little depressing, especially knowing that I burned much of my 20s and some 30s. But to dissipate the depression some of you are feeling right now. :), try to think about your own passions and ambitions, not that of the Techlead. He has been generally pursuing his passions since he was a kid, and as we've all been told, if you stay committed to your passions, you can become successful, and at the very least, learn a lot of lessons and good life experience during your pursuit which could lead you down a path you never dreamed of. Use the angst you are feeling and keep moving forward. I think the Techlead provides incredibly sound advice/wisdom and good/thorough thought processes for making big (and small) life decisions and navigating those. Take what is useful to you, apply it, keep evaluating the outcomes, and write your OWN story, as the TL has advised. :)

  21. That's exactly what I had to admit to myself after a few months - You've got good resources, you are intelligent enough, so the remaining hard part is to immerse yourself into the actual work. And it really needs to be said, otherwise one is prone to stumbling around.

That's coming from 18+ years professionally in I.T., and the last 4-5 coding websites at two international organizations and a web-dev agency ... and having gone through a coding bootcamp, plus - like him - coding since elementary school.   29. You're supposed to get up at least every 45 min to stretch your body. It is very bad for your body to sit for long hours at a time since our body is meant to move. I would suggest to get an adjustable standing desk. It will maintain your productivity without comprising your body mechanics.

  46. Also for a non techie who’s team is building a digital product to read, analyse and present data from 17th and 18th century handwritten documents from European archives, this a great video. Not sure on the Python learning though :-). Thanks again. Looking forward on the next one. Some advanced prompt engineering including do’s and don’t s with the system prompt in open ai playground?   49. These should be your lessons learnt. 1. Do not try to predict reversals. Try trend trading instead. 2. If you do not have the time and technology to compete with the big boys, trade the weekly/monthly charts instead. 3. Create and stick to a system for at least 6 months. 4. Know what you are going into. Commodities have their own market cycles. Different seasons have different impacts. 5. Practice risk management. Your losses are too much for your account to handle and set rules on how to cut losses. 6. Control your emotions and accept your losses. 7. Use multiple technical analysis methods together to increase your success rates. 8. Learn how to withdraw out some of your profits from time to time. 9. The market is always right. Don't try to predict future price action or to have a bias point of view. 10. Learn to start small.
