Dave has been doing a good job keeping Ray from working 10-14-hour days, and often with just a quiet look.

@RainmanRaysRepairs I think we're all just poking the bear, and having fun at your expense. No apologies necessary. 🍻🍻🍻 have ANUTHAAAA!!!
48
Glad to see your all safe and sound.
48
"Well, you've got barley in your engine!"
48
Wasn't expecting a post from you! Hope this is a good omen and that you're feeling better soon
48
Hey Ray you need to tighten the seal packing nut on your lift pump.
48
Send respects to the guy who redid the engine. It almost looks like it’s brand spanking new. I’m very proud to see love one into it and respect for others.
48
A lot of places up here in the frozen north require carbon monoxide detectors for that reason.

Lack of empathy is the trait of a sociopath. That's the problem with the corporate structure. The entity has all of the rights of an individual but none of the responsibilities. Its purpose is the enrichment of its owners/investors. If a corporation was indeed and individual and it were to undergo a psychological evaluation the diagnosis would likely be sociopath and that is the individual that we sent all the money to and we are waiting for it to "trickle down". Good luck on that.

I'll sub. You called it junk, but it is junk...and what is really important is you still looked after the customer's best interests even when they weren't wanting you to. You could have just filled it with water, but it appears you give a shit. That's worth a sub, and a like.
48
What positive energy! You can hear it in the background noises of happy children and dads doing what they do best. This one was special.
48
It's OK watching you and Troy fix things together. The bantering is fine if it's respectful.
48
"1.21 Gigawatts? 1.21 Gigawatts??! ... a bolt of lightning ! "
48
It's absolutely gorgeous. Take that over any modern "Sports Car"
48
I watch you each day. Your honesty and opinions are unbelievable keep up the great work Ray
48
Rainman Ray - You really should put the like thumbs up on your lift button. I say go whole hog into the joke since it's your shop. I am really glad you are taking this very scary step. I didn't succeed my first time in a different industry but I think you are MUCH better at marketing than I ever will be. I wish you all the best, sir!
48
When you remove the wiper cowl, you have to change your whole fastener storage strategy
48
Gale is a legend! So glad you guys got to meet him and take a tour! And thanks for taking us along with you! Have a great day, Sir! o7
48
“How did I screw that up so bad!?” Story of my life, man. Subscribe.
48
You should always do a long or 4 part series for Sunday mornings! This made my day! 😉
47
Just a little Monday morning good natured ribbing: They are posts, not beams. Posts run vertically and support beams; beams run horizontally and are supported by posts. This is what is known as a load path, where the weight the beam is carrying is transferred to the posts, which then transfer the load to the foundation. You guys work together so well it's amazing! Keep on rockin' Ray!
47
You are a class act for not charging them, that was the right thing to do! I would definitely come back to your shop for giving me an honest answer! keep up the good work!
47
I love watching all the assumptions of "If it's not in the video, he must not have done it and I need to set him straight." hehehehe
47
But the CUSTOMER can leave a poor review on the internet!!!! I have, and my review is still there, along with hundreds of others. 😂
47
Got a little bit of everything in this video. Pouring things, unbolting things, rebolting things, and looking to see what’s wrong with things. Love it! 😂😂
47
Good morning Ray. I know it’s been said before but you are an excellent teacher. You provided useful information for people that are watching to learn how to do the work but it’s also interesting to us who just watch for entertainment. I’m a female retired dentist with back/neck issues, so I can not work on our cars. But I still learn very helpful info regarding car repairs and maintenance. Keep up the great work. And love hearing your children. Have a great day!!
47
If you think your mechanic is not replacing the item that they billed you for. always ask for the items he replaced, and do research on mechanics by asking around for references.
47
Reputation is everything, as you have shown. Enjoy a well earned retirement.
47
Profanity always helps attract more subs! Keep it real, getting closer to a million subs every day.
47
So you’re saying that the part that controls timing on the engine is held in place only by friction? There isn’t a key or anything to maintain crank position? Your shop didn’t fail, whoever designed that engine did.
47
My nephew just bought a '12 Chrysler 300 v6. Sure enough, there was a shiny all aluminum oil cooler hiding under the intake with a puddle of old oil around it. It's a Pentrastar thing.
47
How do you like the off brand scan tool? Never seen that one before
47
It's refreshing to see you in your own place and not as an employee at your old shop. Good for you man
47
Never Know what you'll find
47
Thats incredible you put up videos with proof of needed repairs. The person trusts you and pulls the trigger on having the repairs done. You've earned everyone's trust. That speaks highly of your honesty.
47
Shocking! An enginerd diagnosis via the interwebz turns out to be insufficient... Who'd a thunk?
47
I hate diagnosing an engine noise on a vehicle with an exhaust leak...😤
46
It’s not even in the hole. Somebody’s been here before. I know that feeling my man
46
Not many mechanic videos come with an element of suspense. Meaning, you left me hanging wondering if you were going to tighten that knuckle bolt. It was a big relief when you did. 😅 That said, what a peach of a Mustang! Looks gorgeous.
46
@RainmanRaysRepairs Those that can - do. Those that can't, criticize those that DO! 50 years in fleet maintenance, plus work as a welder and machinist, if AZZWHOLE "Orion 77" can do better, post the video! Otherwise STFU! Thumbs UP from me to 'Rainman Ray'! Middle finger on both hands to 'NOrion 00'!
46
Great Diagnostic on this Jeep!!!! Great job using the camera. The customer has got to be impressed. I know we were!
46
Congrats on passing 500k subscribers!

In the customer's defense I did this to my truck before. I knew it didn't need a brake job, but I was headed into the mountains for a bit with a ton of weight on a small Nissan frontier (1992), but I wanted piece of mind and so I spent a few dollars to not ever worry (I had a master brake cylinder die on me in a 77 Datsun so I've always had a rule I don't care about going but damn I must be able to stop.)
46
Hey Ray, you took away all the Canada from those backing plates. You replaced them with American ones. This is not good, not good at all. How will those poor thing fare up in Canada? They’ll freeze. That first year up here will probably kill them. Bad Ray, no cookie for you.
46
Just stumbled across this video. I was hanging out watching you work when you called out the ugly people. That right there was enough for me to hit that subscribe button. That and you're a dang good mechanic. I don't have much faith left in people either. But it seems I found at least one more decent human out there in this crazy world. Keep up the great work! I just learned something new today.
46
Welcome back Ray, hope you got some good rest. My birthday is on the 17th could i get a Happy Birthday?
46
Your truck is kind of unique. It was called Silverado Classic. GM changed the body style GMT900 for models in 2007. But they had so many parts for GMT800, that they built the 800 but added some parts for the 900 and called it “Classic”. Your mirrors were one of those parts along with grill parts and lights.
46
Customer states : anti glare on transition lens stopped working...

DETERMINATE: To de-terminate, repair, restore. Bringing life to the terminated.
46
Soon, mechanics everywhere will be wearing body cams and having an internal review board handling complaints. Good news is, you'll be placed on paid administrative leave while investigations are underway.
