While I know the word eunuch implies loss of genitalia, coming to an understanding of the brutality of it, is far different. That so many were made eunuchs in China, and due to the circumstances you’ve mentioned, is heartbreaking! I appreciate the fact that you covered the whys, of there being so many. Scarcity, is historically, and currently one of the main drivers of most of the ills in the human experience. Today, we know that a lot a scarcity is caused by a handful of humans, who have the goal of controlling the masses. I will hold the knowledge you shared, in my heart, and mind, and will take some time to grieve the horrors these men endured. Peace

  26. I admire how you don’t hold things against your mom. My mom has schizophrenia and was in and out of institutions, home and jail too. She hurt us a lot verbally and physically. She says she didn’t do anything wrong and that she has nothing to be sorry for. It’s hard to forgive or move on. My parents are still together. My dad was responsible and loving father. Thanks for sharing your story. Talk about endurance and perseverance.

  49. My friend and I literally said if we lived in the same town as Chinese historian we would all be friends and hangout, eat dinners together and have awesome conversations. I now know why, the strongest and best people have endured the worst circumstances and kept their heads and wits about them. Chinese Historian qualifies. This story will bring tears to your eyes.
