  14. just to clarify, the max profit is the difference between the strike price minus the premium you paid (max cost). so in the qqq example it'd be $100-$44. the maximum you can make from the whole spread is $56

Interesting how selling puts works, even if you lose you're still get to buy (assigned in this case) the 100 shares but if is a solid company you can sell them for much more later on. Explain "buying puts", i don't understad them much.
