Thank god! a non AI space channel that actually uses researched content. Glad to subscribe.

Good on you for not using AI writing and narration, or if you did, at least editing it well. More than most "science" channels do today. Earned you a sub
551
It was an honor collaborating with you!
390
Arguably the least understood “planet” we know of at this point
264
Your point about being able to manufacture and launch significantly larger rockets from the lunar surface is a HUGELY important one. Can't believe it never occurred to me before but makes perfect sense. Liked!
235
Lots of misconceptions in the comments, the disk/rings still exists, the only difference is that it probably doesn't orbit the star it transited like we thought it did so it might have to be reclassified as a brown dwarf with a protoplanetary disk instead. Since it doesn't orbit any stars, instead of the rings degrading they will probably form planets due to gravity.

Narrator: “Alpha Centauri” Everyone: “Is ThAt A ThReE bOdY PrObLeM rEfErEnCe????!1!1!!!”

Your channel deserves so many more subs, I'm go glad that the J1407b video blew up because it brought me here.
141
As an astronomer who studies super-Earths around dwarf stars (like the ones you mentioned): THANK YOU! This is the most accurate video I've been able to find about 'potentially habitable exoplanets'. And it's really well-produced to boot! It sucks that we haven't found any... but we're doing our best lmao

0:00 - Intro 1:42 - Part 1: 50 years of waiting 7:10 - Part 2: Why go back? 12:18 - Part 3: Developing space 18:09 - Part 4: Stop trying to colonize Mars 23:02 - Part 5: The second Space Race 30:31 - Part 6: Exponential Growth Amazing video bro! I've been really hyped ever since you announced it, and now that I've watched it it's amazing! We should NASA/SpaceX to watch this frfr. Even though as I've seen in some other comments, there was a little repetition here and there, there's always room for improvement, but overall, amazing video, enjoyed it to the last minute!

Could a planet theoretically still have such an obscene amount of rings based on its size?
115
Darn it, I put this planet in my sci fi novel as an epic backdrop for a space battle. More research needed.
89
Starship, even if it doesn’t make its fully reusable goal, will be huge. Especially if Starship is cheap to build (likely given how fast they are building them) putting 100s of tons into orbit would be massive for lunar colonization.
81
Youtube has gotten better with reccomending smaller channels. They finally made a good change. Would you mind if I made a similar video with a similar script on this planet? It is kinda hard to change the script when events are the same but I'll put in my own little theory and change it up and have your link in the pinned comment and top of the description.

@Kyplanet893 Even if we do go extinct in the next millennium it’d still be extremely odd to have seen a once in a million year event in like 200 years of looking.
57
Maybe the rings became exomoons because they are far away enough that J14O7b's gravity won't tear them apart
49
here’s a Theory If we take the age of V1400 Centauri, It pretty much lines up with the whole circumplanetary disc factor because its only a couple million years old (Younger than Saturn’s rings, which also hasn’t formed a new satellite yet) So J1407b could orbit V1400 Centauri in say an elliptical orbit that just so happened to be at the right speed and distance to think what it’s orbital period is. The rouge brown dwarf theory is most likely though
46
I love this channel so much, I've always been obsessed with space but either videos are full of lies, are super old, or AI slop... articles also are just hard to read . keep up the good work!
45
While the audio of free bird gets progressively audible
45
Could it be a rogue planet that passed between V1400 Centauri and the solar system? And we just somehow detected its passing?
42
I wish we could see what Mercury looked like a few billion years ago.
41
"But is it even worth it? Shouldn't we be coming cooperating instead of fighting each other?" MOON WAR NOW, AMERICA IS THE GREATEST CRUNCHY ON EARTH
40
this channel has truly revitalized my hope for space development for the past few years all i've ever heard in space news was misinformed people underestimating everything about it, acting as if they lived in a world where mars were just a weekend road trip away and terraforming it into a 2nd earth would be done in a decade but the things discussed here have given me new hope to see progress within my own lifetime i'd love to one day look up into the night sky and see the beginning sparkles of light in the dark parts of the moon, knowing that it's the first step towards spreading across the solar system
40
Loved the new Tartarian classification. Keep up the good work!
38
@Kyplanet893 Seeing lights on the moon from Earth is such a fever dream of an idea but it would be ultra cool!
34
Very interesting how you brought up the point of colonists on Mars being opposed to the terraforming due to flooding, landscape changes, culture, etc. This is almost exactly what occurs with the Martian colony/nation in The Expanse. The people eventually drop the terraforming efforts that began with the first colony after their focus shifts to their immediate existence and the culture of Mars. Very valid concerns and I'd agree that space habitats are more viable in Humanity's expansion into our solar system. The value of Mars being fully terraformed / effort required to do so only makes sense once we are established in our solar system with the infrastructure in place.
32
We gotta get the word out to all those J1407b fans out there!!!
32
Your channel is extremely underrated. You deserve all attention
32
You deserve more recognition dude. Might even start making my own videos like this sometime, I love it.
31
Finally found a good channel that makes good content, doesn't gloat around or click baits for views. I love the dedication
30
the idea that some rocky planets are the remaining cores of gas giants is quite interesting.🍍
28
Now..this “planet” is quite a strange discovery. It has a unique feature, and tons of rings…I’m sure we could get more in depth detail on this one day
25
I have been blessed with Youtube recommending me this channel, this is absolutely incredible!
23
Great content, and it's nice to see a younger/smaller channel with a real human voice. I had no idea this type of planet even could exist but with what we know about, imagine what we DON'T know? And we've seen so many amazing things lately with the JWST so far, it's only been out there for a couple years now. I subscribed as well, looking forward to seeing more!
22
Hi a little recommendation, at the start of the video you state that the planet does not exist. This is kind of misleading to people who might have clicked off the video very quickly. Saying something such as "does not exist as is shown by pictures in other videos" gives people a more clear and better understanding. Sorry if this sounds a bit stupid but it's probably best to clarify such stuff especially in an age where the internet is filled with click bait instead of full statements giving the full idea
22
Hi! I don't comment on your videos often but I watch all of them especially to go to sleep. Thanks! 😁
22
WE ARE SO BACK MOONBROS
21
Hey thank you for the shout-out man I really appreciate it!
21
Just signed. Hope Viper makes it.
20
What if the Super Saturn planet was actually a rogue planet it it just so happened to pass by the star astronomers thought it was orbiting, when it actually just passed by the star and then continued drifting into space?
20
If a moon like Titan can have liquid water under its ground a gas giant can have hundreds of rings
20
Never had a thought about Pulsars having planets around them. It's fascinating that a Supernova could possibly thrust the resulting Neutron Star into a random direction. Good Work!
19
criminally underrated channel
18
At first I was disappointed but if the brown star hypothesis is true, it's way more insane. Actually freacking insane.
18
this planet is literally one of the reasons i’m deathly terrified of space edit: now i’m more petrified
18
You can hear the passion for space in your voice. Subbed.
18
Planets like such remind me of uncanny artificial versions of ours. As if its made by AI, made to mimic something.
18
I'm gonna start boosting your video, this is a critical problem that most people in the U.S. don't even know about and this is a great explanation that is pretty short but perfectly ties up why NASA needs more money and why people won't do it.
17
That render of the hypothetical rings is beautiful though, shame it’s probably not real. Good video <3
16
Never heard of viper before this video, but now I am angry enough to sign it
