  11. After re-watching the movie, I see moments where Siobhan is beckoned to join Mrs McCormick, watching death come in its inevitability. Like she would join the ranks of silent banshees. Makes me think of a subplot where the boys get to mutilate their selves as wise women are restricted to observe. Gender view that might not really apply maybe. Siobhan is so sweet yet firm. I love how she doesn't mind Jenny as she opens her letter job letter near the fire. All women are banshees beside the men. Super sad but true. Our sisters see what we do.

  13. Red hair and hazel brown orange eyes. I have a very high pain tolerance. It takes more anesthesia for me. My mom, dad, and brother all have dark hair and tan. I must be a throwback from past generations. I always say hell hath no fury like a pissed off redhead.

This helps with my DNA backstory research- I'm 45% Celtic (Irish & Scottish), 42% Scandinavian and 13% Basque ( just found out that men are Indo-European- Goth- Swedish & women are Celtic ) U5 haplogroup). This video presented some historical context for Celtic/Scandinavian gene intermingling. Thanks!

  32. The POBI project was very useful but it has largely been superseded by ancient DNA findings made in the last few years. Therefore the only major point of difference I would make is about the Welsh .They definitely don't resemble ancient British hunter gatherers genetically more than any other Brit. That was speculation on the part of the POBI , before we fully understood the enormous genetic impact farmers and then steppe folk had on the Isles. They , like other Britons , are a mix of hunter gatherer , neolithic farmer and steppe people. They are much like the Irish and Scots in that they more closely resemble British Bronze and Iron Age people than the English who have a lot more Germanic ancestry, although the amount varies across regions .As for the Celts , well that seems to be more of an elite migration . I would definitely urge you to check out the new paper on Anglo-Saxon DNA and migration which is very interesting.

This was only Saxon propaganda to imply the Picts were not indigenous.The Picts,like the Cymru had an aural tradition whereby everything was learnt in rhyme and so didn’t need writing down.It was only Hadrian’s wall that divided and separated the cultures between the free and the enslaved and so likely their language was a P Celtic Old Welsh.The Scythians you mention could be the Gododdin, who are immortalised in Welsh poetry.They were used as a buffer zone against the Picts and could have well been originally from anywhere in the Empire.Strathclyde was also Brythonic and many Pictish kings were chosen from here.So Scotland isn’t made up of two cultures,but three🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿👍

  38. I dig your style. The findings you talk about in this vid agree with my anecdotal evidence. Mine are green, my bf’s are almost black. He needs much more light to get around the house, often complaining about curtains being drawn. He’s 10 yrs older, that may account for something. Ty for your content, love your accent. 🙏🇺🇸❤️

  45. R1B U106 is a subset of R-M269. I’m a subset of, within R-BY93784. While U106 often referred to as the ‘Germanic’, my understanding os R-BY93784 originated just before the changeover from BC to AD, and all known members are from the British Isles (within England, Scotland, or the surrounding islands); Hatherdene 9 lived in Cambridgeshire circa 500 AD, and is estimated to have branched off circa 500 BC. It seems as though my paternal line was in Britain prior to the Roman arrival.
