I am enjoying the videos even though I disagree with the term Celtic to describe the early Britons have you check out Britainshiddehistory Ross YouTube channel as your both in the same book maybe not the same page if that makes sense

because the scottish people have class they know a great place to live, where they will live in peace and harmony, and enjoy their new world highlands.

Interesting video on the genetics. It was right up my allele 😉

I am a Fraser. We were always told our family came on the ship Hector to Pictou, NS, Canada after we were kicked off our lands in Scotland. It is a little unsure exactly where we came from, but mostly we were told we came over from the Glasgow area but originally were Hebrides. Our people came and were without much to come to in November in very cold and uncleared lands. They hardly survived that first winter except that the MigMaw local First Nations helped the families survive enough to get through until they could clear the land enough to grow some food and build proper housing to survive the harsher winters.

There is a lot of truth in this, the Tartars who came from Tartaria which is known today as Mongolia, travelled across Europe and settled for a time in Scotland. They clothed themselves in Tartan which is obviously derived from their origins and as we know today everyone thinks tartan is Scottish, it's not it's Tartarian.

@celtichistorydecoded my Silures branch went on to become the Princes of Powys, Wales.

Great video. The way I read this, GB was one united island, living with many things in common, until those Saxons and Romans came over. So, Irish, Welsh and Scottish, remember this. We were heavily invaded too 😂
6
Bruh I love your accent. And Scotland is my favorite place on the planet.
6
My family has many different ethnic backgrounds in it, but we have the most tracing back to Faroe Islands & still have family living in Denmark even today.
6
I have the name Greig on my Nan's side, her Mother maiden name. I know that they were a sept of the MacGregors would be nice to know a bit about the connection..
6
I’ve got green eyes and my ancestry is Scandinavian and Europe
6
@celtichistorydecoded we can infer from this that Isaac was named after the sky. His tribe, The Sons of Isaac, or Saxons, were the people of the sky. Any of this sounding familiar? I'm thinking the etymology has deep proto-IndoEuropean roots.
6
I love the Welsh Viking!!!
6
My father is Portuguese, my mother has spanish, canary island and mestizo and mulatto ancestry from Mexico distantly. The irish and British genes took over on my mothers side.
6
Clan McLeod and Clan Lamont. I’ve never been to Scotland but I’m 85% Scots, 10% German and 5% Swede and 100% Australian
6

My eyes are dark grey and I hated it growing up I used to say they was blue because I thought grey eyes was awful. But now I love that I have grey eyes.
6
I am 76% Welsh and 24% English. I cheer for both teams in soccer and rugby.
6
I always think Adams is much more interesting, but I may be biased. Who knows? One of my ancestors, great grandfather x 4, was one of the first Irish Quakers in Pennsylvania, he went with his son just. However they clearly didn't enjoy that lifestyle as they returned to Antrim less than two years later.

Came for genetics, stayed for Scottish accent

Extremely interesting. My Son is an Odinist. I will forward him this. He has 7 Children and they just celebrated the Winter Soltice with two huge legs of lamb roasted over the top of vegetables. 11 of us shared in that feast. They are all Odinists, but he would never deny them Christmas. They are all excited tonight, Christmas eve. Hes taught them the origins of Christmas. This video will be a great addition to that knowledge. Thanks. Merry Christmas /Yule. 🎄

I hear he`s popular in Ireland🤣
6
the main reason why blue eyes spread was because people saw them as attractive so people with blue eyes had a higher chance of attracting mates.
6
I was born platinum blonde, and now my hair is dark blonde

Definitely a real place. But a Global Empire with the Azores as it's major/Capital place is most likely. Many cities were sunk around the same time globally and in all probability belonged to the Atlantis Empire
6
I think it was what is now the Atlantic ridge. An earthquake there, is easy to believe and anything there would have vanished. Solon was at the temple of Horus at Edfu, which is where the glyphs that look like a chopper and speedboat are.
6
Did other Roman legions 'disappear' in other parts of the Roman empire or conflict zones? What I am getting at was the disbanding of a legion or other army unit subject to some sort of procedure or documentation? I know about the two legions that were wiped out in Tueteborg (spelling?) forest. Building Hadrian's wall round about the same time suggests the Romans did not take the Caledonian/Brigantes threat lightly.
6
My ancestors were in Argyll. Did a DNA test a couple years ago and was very impressed.
6
I got into an online disagreement with someone because I said that the Celts were the indigenous people of Britain. He insisted that the Britons were the indigenous people so I said they were the same thing. I was happy to find this video where you use the words interchangeably. Thanks.
6
Although very English I can claim a tiny connection to Murray of Athol. Oddly my son ended up wearing the tartan for his marriage to a Scottish lassie.
6
My great grandparents came from Peterheed and were part of the Gordon clan. They emigrated to New York then Canada in the late 20s and early 30s.
6
hi - new subscriber question - Were not the Picts and Britons the same genetically, culturally?
6
Even i have a little ranga in me
6
I’m genetically 36% English (and Northwestern European), 34% Scottish, 19% Irish and 11% Welsh. 🇬🇧
6
My mother in law is a Stewart, her direct ancestor passed down through Ireland and then came to the US however.
6
My two siblings and I have hazel eyes. My mom had brown eyes, dad had hazel. My grandmother and her sisters told me I have the same eyes as my great grandmother on my dad's side of the family. They were of German/Polish descent.
6
Blue eyes could be considered a hybred situation like we have with Dog breeds, like comparing a Golden Labradore verse Timber Wolve.
6
My hazel eyes are just greyish with an amber ring/starburst around the pupil. Where those optically mix, they can look olive green. I think lighting can be a determining factor on how eye color looks. Even with brown eyes there are differing shades. Some are so dark as to appear black with no visible pupil. Some browns look very orange in comparison. So there are differences even among brown, blue or green eye colors which can be darker, lighter or brighter depending on the individual. Hazel can be any eye color that contains 2 or more colors :)
6
I find this series great! while looking at my 3% Wales DNA and 1% Baltics. Because, most of my DNA come from southern Africa.
6
I have hazel eyes encircled by green. Inherited from my mother who was born in Bosnia. She had gold ab d green flecks in her eyes.
6
Ouch! Bread-alban NOT Bread al-bane. Also Campbells were widespread in Ayrshire and down to Galloway. Quibbles aside, excellent channel!

This is very interesting. Thank you for creating this video. My husband did a ancestry DNA test eight years ago. And what it showed is Norway. (47%.) England, (46%) and Sweden (7%). We know that England came from his mother, but we’ve never been able to find out where the Norway came from as his father was also from England. We never could figure out where the Norwegian and Swedish came from. Quite a few people matched him all with Norwegian DNA. Those that matched were second cousins. As for his eyecolor, they were a light brown, and his hair was light brown. Our son definitely inherited his Norwegian DNA. Our son is extremely tall, and has Hazel Green eyes and light brown hair. ✌🏻💖🌺 😊😊

Van Gogh rhymes with loch 😁

Yeh, you're Scottish! I can tell! 🤔🤣🥰🤗💖 Hello from Southern Québec, Canada! 🇨🇦

This was an interesting discussion. Just a thought. Evolution sometimes evolves redundancies within the system. Lose blood flow to a tissue and the body will try to grow new ones to perfuse it. And we're not even very good at it. Sharks will grow whole new sets of teeth. Some lizards can regrow tails, and some of this happens at the physiological level as well. So it would stand to reason that there might be epigenetic factors like the equatorial sunlight you mentioned that may trigger an alternative pathway to express melanin in a person who otherwise lacks the main genes to control it. If it's epigenetic like this, it would depend on a second set of genes which control that alternate pathway AND their exposure to the controlling stimulus in order to be expressed. Anyway, that's what I suspect is going on. No studies or anything to back it up. But given the map you showed that looks so close to the regions in which Phoenician/Canaanite peoples originally inhabited, but who were replaced by Arabs with the initial expansion of Islam, we have a very unique population in which we would see people who lack the primary gene for melanin in the iris, but who might have that secondary pathway, and also live in the sun-baked equatorial region which would command expression of that second pathway. Thanks for the intriguing information and discussion, CHD!

Yeah - but it may have been from the "Irish" where I think in New York there were lots of Irish from Dublin which was a Viking Port
6
The first clan in my family line to come to America was a Mckenzie. (McKenney)An indentured servant, he served his time in Maine. Went on to have a family and his own home.
