I have blue eyes. So I'm going with the sexual attractiveness theory.

Great work as always

I think the Celtic Church would have survived a lot longer.

Celtic covers a number of different countries. Ireland, Scotland, parts of France.

So awesome and interesting, loving the channel!

I am English as far back as i can go on Ancestry (so atleast as far back as 1700s), mainly all from East Anglia... yet my Ancestry is only up to 65% English/ northern Europe and a large % is Scottish and up to 11% norweigen + traces of German + Welsh. ... i was stunned but it makes sense given previous invasions. Fascinating stuff x

I’m from Spain, have blue eyes, light skin and natural blonde hair, I do well in the winter, but living in a city like Barcelona I have to wear sunscreen ALL of the time, my eyes are well adapted to the light but my skin struggles the most.

My mother's maiden name is Ocheltree. There are lots of variant spellings: Ockiltree, etc. My MtDNA haplogroup is T2b3-C151T. My GedMatch ID is T667027 My earliest maternal ancestors came to the Virginia colony around 1760. Family lore suggests that they were from the town of Ocheltree in Ayreshire, Scotland, but had to leave after the battle of Culloden (1746), first to Armagh, Ireland and then on to Virginia, changing their name from STEWART to the place where they were from: Ocheltree.

Thanks for this! Several of Canada's early Prime Ministers were either born in Scotland, or were of Scots descent - including the first, Sir John A. Macdonald (born in Glasgow). Sir John Thompson was of Ulster Scots background via Nova Scotia, although he converted to Roman Catholicism for marital purposes, and became the first Roman Catholic Prime Minister of Canada in 1892.

4/5 of my ancestry is British. I am grateful for your information. It helps me understand my ancient English & Scottish roots.
5
The Altia Mountains I thought they originated Oh you said that lol But different genetic groups came from there The Srubna culture was R1a
5
There is also some evidence, via witness accounts, that the Templars fought alongside Wallace at Stirling.
5
Tiny correction. The pigment ochre is pronounced 'oak-er', not 'ock-ree'. Americans spell it ocher, which closer to the sound.
5
The vikings certainly got around. You look at the size of Scandinavia and think why did the vikings need to invade the British Isles back in the day and for hundreds of years at that.
5
From Croatia, my father and his sister have fully grey eyes. I ended up with green but have have patches of grey mixed in mainly on the outer rim.
5
I have blueish hazel eyes 👀. I also think someone said my eyes look greenish
5
I'm a Canadian "mutt", Scottish, Irish, Welsh, German, Scandinavian. Green eyed and fancy free.
5
I have green eyes, dark brown hair, and fair skin, as well as my mother did. I have a high percentage ancestry from Scottish and English descents. I am from Alabama, USA.
5
Have you listened to Dan Carlins Celtic Holocaust?
5
I love your videos. Keep up the good work.
5
I'm from Calabria in Italy - which is very southern Italy - and all my family, most relatives and many people in our town have blue eyes.... Like many people have said, I, too, prefer low light/lamp light to strong/bright light ...
5
I love the way you pronounce culture 💯😉
5
I respect you for being Scottish, but dude you need to stop leaving so much time between your words
5
Green eyes here. Greek on one side. Cornish, French and German on the other

Ancient initiated knowledge. Sacred geometry. The cross is a representation of the fixed astrological signs of Leo, Scorpio, Taurus and Aquarius. The pillar will show the constellations as observed from the direction of sight. (Just an observation but the pillar is covered in eaoteric knowledge. Think of the pillars at Gobleki tepe)
5
Green eyes here and I appreciate them so much. Ancestry: English, German, and Norwegian with just a pinch of Scotch Irish. Hooray for diversity!
5
Julios Cesar was a gigachad.

Do you have a video or plan on making one going more in depth about the origins and history of Clan Johnston? Terrific vids! :)

I'm portuguese, in my family endogamy runs a lot.

The templars were not Banned in Scotland, they had been since 1119. Most of the Templars were probably retired. Unfortunatley there has never been any evidence of them either fighting at Bannockburn. As a Templar myself, we were told the same story. It is a nice thought that they did, but without evidence I doubt it

"Adam the Jacobite" was my ancestor who fought in the Battle of Culloden. He was shipped to Virginia, where he served 7 years as an indentured servant in Hanover County. We visited the battleground in 2004 and walked around the monument there. It felt really strange to know our ancestor was there all those years ago.
5
That was amazing! How informative on a topic I have always been interested in. Thank you for the video; I will be watching your other videos.
5
It always intrigues me where so many Anatolian farmers came from to form the population of Europe, maybe there were no farmers left in Anatolia and the population disappeared due to hunger, since the farmers all went to Europe

I just saw this last night. Thanks for the explanation about the banshee. One big takeaway I had from the film was about the pigheadedness of men. Colm, Padraic, and Dominic (who I believe committed suicide when Siobhan left) are all brought down by their stubbornness, their inability to recognize that different ways forward are possible, their refusal to change their situations when they're not. Siobhan is the only sensible main character in the film, who has the vision to change and does what is necessary to improve her life.

@williamcarthcart7994 That’s a good question about to what extent the Corded Ware spread into the U.K., considering they were more of a central, eastern, Northern European group, but they are in Scandinavians. So of course analysis would have to be done on older samples considering the amount Germanic dna in the U.K. Plus the interaction between the BB & CW happened early enough that various degrees of admixture would most likely be in continental Celts and Anglo Saxons that moved into the U.K. during the Iron Age and later. Also both the CW & BB largely descend from the Yamnaya with some Neolithic Farmer admixture, which the gentleman in the video mentioned about the BB. I have heard and read some speculation that the CW derived its steppe ancestry from perhaps a very similar line Yamnaya group in the forest north of the Yamnaya, but I don’t now, I think the consensus is CW is predominantly Yamnaya with some NF. Hope this helps best Josh:)

The Haplogroup 4:49 R1b-M269 is also present in large proportion in the central Romania. The majority of the highlanders of Transylvania, in Alba County (including all my male relatives) have this haplogroup. People in this area are having medium stature, very white skin, brown hair (with a significant minority of blond and no black haired), half of them are having brown eyes and half light eyes (blue or green) and no black eyes.

Both of my grandparents were from the same village on the west coast of Finland in Osterbotten. I was told we were all Swedish and I joined my brothers in taking 3 years of Swedish at UC Berkeley's esteemed Scandinavian Department. 23andMe revealed that I am K1C1 and am 32 percent Finnish versus 24 percent Swedish. I have known that my haplogroup places my genetic map in Siberia. Thank you for a great video!

Some Norwegians have some similarities to the Western Irish, the fatter rounder nosed big blocky headed with small eyes and curly brown or red hair- Called Brunn types or Paleo Atlantids. These are the Fir Bolg in Irish mythology and likely come from Paleolithic survivors from the ice age Irish settlers who'd later be invaded by thinner faced and blonde haired gauls- reflected as the Tutha de dannen in Irish mythology. You'll also find Borreby phenotypes in Ireland with North Atlantids and Keltic Nordids. Atleast that's my two sense research.

I like your clan map. I never knew where my ancestors, the Robertson’s,lived in Scotland but now I know - NE Scotland above the River Forth. I know where they lived here, Henrico County, VA and later Charlton County, GA. They never forgot their military service background and have fought in every war in America

Mom had brown eyes and Dad had blue eyes. Mine are Hazel green. When you look closely at them, they are a mixture of golden brown and blue.
