  7. I have been watching your videos since a while back when you had still named yourself Meta on Youtube, and I don't really comment a lot on videos, but I hope this reaches you. I'm 18, and started my career when I was 16, the sole reason I started was because I wanted to do something meaningful for myself, my family and my girlfriend. And now I'm happily making a bit of income, sometimes I put too much effort into software that I tire myself out. But at the the end of the day, I still remember what I'm working towards. Your career is important as long as you have a purpose for it. Software is ever changing, and so is your life. I think having a family really does make you look back on a lot of things, wish you all the best! and I'll be looking forward to your videos. and by the way, this video is great, I feel like it's more authentic than others you have made.

He's very funny, but is very cynical and negative. Maybe you can be the opposite "ex Amazon, multimillionare" techlead who is more positive, optimistic and pragmatic

  22. Your videos are gold. Thank you for the information. I've switched industries, and always had my hands tied to not cross the scope of job description due to the nature of my status. As a result my experience years have grown, but not really a deep dive into the experience. I've had bits and dots of information connect together, and always hungry in understanding the application, but not really hands on in other areas. I feel I'm ready to try a senior role but no right way to prove it. Do you have tips to take the leap and try or settle for a junior roles in bigger company .

  38. This is an exceptional video. They key point about doing something "different" hits loud and clear. To get hired now you need to do something nobody else in the candidate pool is doing (go all the way with it) and then effectively market that to the individuals who have sway over hiring. This will take you from a 0.1% hiring chance to an above 10% chance without doing 100x the effort. Maybe ~3-10x depending on your experience level. Similar to Mr. Beasts 1 million vs 10 million view video ideology by just spending another 50-100% more time perfecting the video.
