  1. AMD, After joint ventures with Subaru and BMW, I suspect that many, many Toyota sports car fans are breathing a sigh of relief that the genuine Toyota GR Corolla is on the way to this market. Hopefully there will be more 'in-house' performance models coming in the future. As far as reliability is concerned, let's give the Supra another few years before we reach a final conclusion. 😁

  7. Just did my first oil change on our new 2020 Rav4 with this engine - about 2,200 miles ahead of the 5,000 mile first scheduled service interval because I wanted to change following the break-in. As a DIYer (when I can), I love the information you've provided and feel like I've taken a mini-masterclass tour of this engine. The oil-free VVT system is phenomenal, and the combination port and direct injectors is an amazing engineering decision. And I absolutely notice the sound change when it switches from port to direct. I think every owner of this engine should be aware of the 3000psi fuel line!! Tremendous information and I will be mentioning your channel in my oil change video!!

  10. Having owned 6 Lexus vehicles, starting with both the 1995 SC400 and LS400 through the 1998 GS 400 and LS 400, and then the LS460, I purchased the RC350 F-Sport 2020. The seats on the F-Sport are very supportive and very comfortable. I drive to work and sometimes spend up to 3+ hours in traffic and never have driver fatigue (FWY fatigue - yes). I would have to disagree with you regarding the F-Sport versions of cars. Yes, larger tires and a sturdier ride, but still very very comfortable. It all adds up to personal taste, in my opinion. Reliability has been excellent in all of the vehicles.

  14. Costco gas is Top Tier and typically @20-30 cents cheaper than nearby stations. Its typically my go to. Along with 5-10 min wait times.

  22. After 9 months of research, YouTube watching and test drives, I bought a used 2020, 13k mile, Atomic Silver RCF base model with red interior and the Torsen diff. I knew I’d be happy with my purchase, but after 3 months of ownership and 4,500 miles, I’m absolutely delighted with it! I recently took it on a 1500 mile trip and I was sad when it was over! It simply does everything well, with the surprise bonus of 28mpg on the highway. For me, the base RCF model is a way better choice over the track edition; as you very clearly pointed out in this video. There are only 3 minor features I would add or improve upon for the base model. 1. A little more exhaust note (easy to address with aftermarket cat-back offerings or a resonator delete) 2. A six speed manual (however I totally understand Lexus’ reasoning for going with an automatic but the 10 speed would be a better unit in this chassis) 3. Its heated seats are lukewarm at best. and finally, it should be 400 lbs lighter 🤣

  23. Great to have a professional Toyota Mechanic like this giving advice. Hope and wish more are out there like him. Toyota's have been very good to me and I want to drive them 20 plus years, but yes sometimes just give it up and replace it. Anything after 250k is more then a domestic manufacturer can offer.

  26. 30 years in the Airlines, my Craftsman tools have served me well. Trucks and cars at home a mix even tools from Pittsburgh have been fine. Car care nut is absolutely correct, some my best tools are the cheapest tools. I have literally beat Harbour Freight tools to death and never failed me. Thanx for another great video.

  27. As a backyard mechanic, I'd love a video where you suggest what aftermarket items are okay to use and what items we should keep OEM. (Like alternators, ECMs, suspension, etc.) I agree with only using the OEM oil/air filters, too!!

  28. I have a 2015 LC, it has 188k miles and I absolutely love it. Only thing I’ve had to replace is the battery and alternator. Although most people see it as a boring SUV, it’s amazing vehicle in my eyes. I was sold on them when I saw them used over seas on my deployments.

  30. I rented a Prius in California and was visiting a friend who lives in a very hilly neighborhood and the street she lives on is very steep. I tried B mode when going down that hill and it made a significant difference in helping to control the speed of the car. It took a big load off the brakes.

  38. 2 years in a row, the most reliable car, according to Consumer Reports, was the Prius C. More reliable than the Prius and Prius Prime. I generally put on 3000 miles a year so I change the oil and filter once a year. I bought a used 2013 Prius C with 50K miles. The first thing I did was a complete service including trans fluid and cleaning the hybrid fan and screen.

  39. I love my C-HR! The design and wheels first caught my attention in the showroom. In 2017, we ordered a 2018 in Radiant Mica Green with a White roof and then traded in our 2-1/2 year old fully loaded Rav4 and never looked back. I get so many compliments on it and it has been wonderful and very fun to drive.
