  3. Another fantastic piece of work here AMD! Enjoyed this thoroughly and wow I wish my 2009 Corolla with 292,000 miles on it only had 140,000 miles. Given the good condition of that car otherwise and assuming the transmissions been serviced well think they made a cogent decision especially given today’s market. their daughter will have a great car through her college years and for some years after that with this one. Anxious to see the updates on the LS!

  5. I know someone that was always getting a new MAF every two - three years. Guess why? He ran those gimmicky K&N Oiled filters. The oil will coat the MAF and attract dirt and corrode. Cleaning is only temporary unless you go back to OEM filtration. Aftermarket only want your money.

  8. Original factory wipers with replaceable rubber inserts can be bought from Denso under their Denso Designer series for half the price of the dealer. It is the same exact factory installed part if yours are missing. Also, the same exact A/C refresh kit can be bought from Subaru for half the cost: Subaru P/N SOA868V9315.

In south carolina, you do not need a rebuild title to sell and register and insure salvage title cars (and this is common in the south east), as a matter of fact, lots of my friends do this for a living, buying damaged or totaled vehicles on auctions, and repairing them and reselling them. There is a lot of money to be had in it, or you can get a really nice car for really cheap, if you are willing to put in a lot of work. Some of them are rebuilt really, really well, almost to the point where I would never notice that the car was repainted or fixed in any way unless I took the body panels off. Some, are rebuilt poorly, usually when the person rebuilds the car for them selves and on the cheap (usually the evidence is under the body work in the weld quality and such. Not only that, but most of these people look for cars that were hit, but the damage wasn't reported, therefore the title is still "Clean title", and they rebuild the car and sell it as "clean title" because no one ever reported the damage. This is very common.

  15. My Uncle had a 2001 LS430 and sold it to his son in law when it had 430k miles. He recently found a 2009 LS460L with only 33k miles, but I still rather have the 430 than 460.

  16. I am the original owner 2012 XLE has 270,000 miles. Lots of tires, brakes, oil changes and one alternator. That’s it! I did add a Curt towing hitch and factory trailer wire harness bc U-Haul version was replaced over and over. They just splice and dice a cheap Chinese version. I’ve towed small ski boat, 14 foot cargo trailer and a kayak on a jet ski trailer many times. The only service I’m afraid to do is transmission fluid. I hear bad things happen after trans fluid change. This mini van is better than my Land Cruiser. Thanks for another great video. Subscribe people ! Over

  18. The only thing to do is to engage it once a month and give a thorough workout once a year and it keeps running for good as long as you keep it lubed.

  24. I have the rear view camera and consider it the most important feature of the car. I am 70 and do not get dizzy looking at it. It not only shows who is directly behind you but shows cars in all the lanes behind you. The picture quality is fine and provides the most extensive amount of rear view information.

  26. Our 2008 Corolla is still going strong with 150K miles. Seats are comfy and, as a DIY maintenance guy, I love that transmission dip stick. She did have leaky power steering fluid but a few small clamps on the hoses fixed it.

  30. Loved your videos. Wish you talked about used CT200h, just bought one 2014 F-Sport (I know), but was wondering how Lexus managed to make them faster than a Prius even though they share engines. By doing push and glide I'm getting 54 mpg consistently on my 35 mile commute to work, with some traffic. Can you do a video on CT vs Prius? Keep up the good work!

Don’t forget to rinse the windshield wipers and I would recommend pulling the gloves out every 7 - 10 days and cleaning where your hands go to prevent dirt/grease buildup so you don’t have to replace them all the time. It will also prevent spreading germs through the shop. You should fabricate some sort of rack that helps to support the work so you don’t run the risk of having the force of water knocking the part out of your hands. Science has shown that to be effective water has to be a minimum of 68 degrees to have any cleaning power. And above 68 degrees will clean on its own as opposed to water below 68 degrees. In other words make sure the water is at least 68 degrees to be sure to really clean things.That’s a great machine and should increase the productivity and quality of the work that comes out of your shop. Congratulations on the purchase.

  45. I had an Uber driver with an ‘03 Camry Le with over 355K miles and it ran unbelievably smooth.. cold AC.... no wobble, no shakes... these are built solid...sold my ‘00 Sienna earlier his year with over 260K miles.. no issue! Thanks for the great content brother

No other car company gets me on reliability, quality and dependability than Toyota and Lexus...they are not perfect but they have proven their worth time and time again...but om a pickup truck kinda guy...good job sir
