  18. i worked in a hard rock gold mine in Congress Az in 1991 and we used pneumatic slushers for mucking out high drifts, dumping the muck into an ore chute, down to a lower drift where we could us a mucker to remove it to the main drift. our main drift was about 14’ wide, secondary drifts were about 6 to 8’ wide, the ore body lay on a 70 degree angle and ranged from 2 inches to 9 feet thick, the hanging wall and the footwall were hard granite. it was pretty cool, sometimes we’d blast into old stopes the old timers made with hand steel. The Congress mine had been visited by the President in the 1800s Mckinley i think.

  24. Jeff I’m shocked, and angered! I never expected this news! I absolutely loved seeing you and the Gold Lady interact with each other. She was really a special person and will be missed by those whose lives she touched. I send prayers to you Jeff, the Gold Lady, and her husband. My wife said she will never again question, and now completely understands, why I arm myself in public and at home. No home invader ever gave a resident time to defend themself. I scuba dive and fear sharks; I hunt game and fear bears…but I, unfortunately, fear my fellow man more than any other creature. I never wanted to fear living, but I do in our unpredictable world. God bless you and yours Jeff. My deepest condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of the Gold lady and her husband. I’m heartbroken 💔 Thoughts and prayers from Oregon Jeff.

Yes Jeff I’ve been in the concrete business for over 25 years they make chainsaws with diamond blades that will cut up to 24 inches thick solid concrete with 1/2 inch rebar there was a prison job we had to cut 12 thick concrete for all the doors and windows they come in gas powered as well as hydraulic powered and will cut through that caleche like butter my friend definitely the way to go 👍🏼👊🏼

We've made two trips to this mine and she's been there every step. She also filmed our mine with its 100 foot vertical ladder and she never missed a beat.
